In this Physics video for Class 10 in Hindi we differenciate between Fleming's left hand rule and right hand rule. This is a topic of Chapter 13 - 'Magnetic Effect of Electric Current' from NCERT for Class 10.
Fleming's left hand rule is used to find out the direction of force applied to a current carrying conductor placed in an external magnetic field.
Fleming's left hand rule is used to find out the direction of current produced in a moving wire in an external magnetic field.
Fleming's Left Hand Rule : When current flows through a conducting wire, and an external magnetic field is applied across that flow, the conducting wire experiences a force perpendicular both to that field and to the direction of the current flow (i.e they are mutually perpendicular). A left hand can be held so as to represent three mutually orthogonal axes on the thumb, fore finger and middle finger. Each finger is then assigned to a quantity (mechanical force, magnetic field and electric current).
Fleming's right hand rule : The thumb is pointed in the direction of the motion of the conductor relative to the magnetic field. The forefinger is pointed in the direction of the magnetic field. By convention, it's the direction from North to South magnetic pole. Then the middle finger represents the direction of the induced or generated current within the conductor.
