I knew him when he was with the Bears, he was a nice dude.... I worked at a gas station and he would stop in, buy stuff and would spend a half hour just talking with me.... Sad news.... Because we would just hang... We're the same age.... We would just talk like normal dudes ... Not only that but the dude would buy like 5 bucks worth of stuff and would tell me to keep the change..... RIP Ced....

After viewing numerous of your videos, I realized these athletes are just like everyone else, they battle life struggles like depression, anxiety, addiction, mental health disorders and issues, family issues, body issues ectera. Thank you for humanizing them. We see the glitz and glamour as well as when they run into trouble. Thanks to you we get to see them in a normalized light as well as more relatable. You have excellent story telling abilities. I love the fact you try your best to see the good in the ppl you cover. You literally try to understand their stories and present them to us in a way we can understand from their perspective. You just don't take one perspective and go in on it, you cover all pov's that's what makes you unique and your story telling stands out. Keep it up your doing a phenomenal job!!!

I remember when Cedric came into the league as I was just starting to get into football that year. I remember him being called a bust, until he broke out with the Bengals. I can't believe how long ago that was. I also can't believe he is gone from this world. I missed the story of him passing and it's too bad as though he seemed troubled, he seemed like a genuinely good dude. RIP Cedric Benson.

This was very tastefully done. I’m a former college football player struggling with what I believe to be CTE and I think it’s very important for people to not overlook the role it played in people lives like Cedric’s; even if their brain can’t be salvaged or they don’t kill themselves this disease can really take a toll in many other ways. In some ways a death in some other circumstance might be a blessing. RIP Cedric Benson.

Thanks again man.....the Benson draft didn't make sense to me 15 years ago, didn't work out at all, and still doesn't make sense. In Chicago we bonded with Thomas Jones after letting go of Anthony Thomas, and i think most of us Bears fans were taken aback with Benson's draft. How were two 20+ carry/game RBs gonna work in the same backfield? What did Jerry Angelo and the scouts know that we didn't? Even though Ced could be a diva, I never blamed him for not fulfilling his potential here, unlike most of the cynical, miserable Chicago sports media

I love your videos, but, I sure hate how this story ends, man. I am a Bears fan, and I always liked Benson. I did not know this behind the scenes stuff here. I always thought when he touched the ball, he looked like he was going to be a really good RB. I just always thought it looked like he just never seemed to find his place in or on that team. The information you gave here about the contract, and how he felt his teammates were...It definitely shows how off field can show up on field, but also makes me even more happy for him that he was traded. If you watch him in that game against the Bears when he was with the Bengals...you will see the most angry running of his career. I hated watching him do it...lol...but, it was a hell of a game for the dude.

I didn't know that he passed. Definitely a force with the Bengals. A couple of times I thought they would go to the Super Bowl the outstanding year they just had only to lose in the first round. 2015 was at their absolute best even better than New England & Denver and you guessed it their Quarterback gets knocked out for the season in week 14 I remember they were on route to go 14-2 record and ended up 12-4. They the Cincinnati Bengals were the real deal that year until the injury. After all they would have deserved it being the better team in the league in 1988 losing to the experience & mighty San Francisco 49ers unfortunately that didn't work out for them either, Twice.

bro i got some REAL time confirmation on that story that you were referring to about fellow bears players in 05 were trying to hurt Ced... 670 the score here in chicago has been doing alot of discussion in wake of Ced's untimely death and some reporters confirmed that they indeed saw this going on in practice in person. Go back maybe 2 days on their broadcasts and its there.
