This song almost always brings a tear to my eye. In 2019, I attended a summer work camp in which, much to my surprise, I made tons of friends. The group I was in was amazing, near-perfect with how ready we all were to help one another out and participate in fun activities of playing games, watching movies etc. The thing is, this work camp is all about working as a team and having fun. After the weeks of work conclude, we can go home, but we must keep meeting up to make a song and a skit for the day that all the groups meet up to compete against one another. It's all generally very fun. When I made it home, I immediately made it my objective to make a music video edited together of all the footage we had from those fun weeks at the work camp. I chose this song, because it really spoke to me and all I could think was "yes, I do want them to take me with them." I wanted to stay and participate in more activities with them. The weeks roll by and there are 3 main people composing the song and creating the skit. Me and my two friends. Those two friends unfortunately got very busy later on and could no longer participate in what we were doing. I felt truly alone because I realized that I couldn't do it by myself. I couldn't convince the people I considered such great friends to just help me. I wish I could put into words how I felt during those weeks up until that day in which we presented our song and skit. It was terrible and I essentially hid away and cried for the work that I had done but found absolutely no one present appreciating. As much as I know I shouldn't or as much as I don't want to, I can't stop myself from wishing that they'd see what fucking misery they put me through and how much of myself I put forth for them to just use. Those weeks were truly one of the worst I have ever experienced, although the weeks at the summer work camp before that were some of the best. It's one strange, conflicting tale and I cannot decide whether I would've preferred not to ever have experienced it or not. The project of the video with this song had been long abandoned by now. I couldn't stand looking at any of the footage. I precisely remember the ending segment in which I thanked every single person I considered a friend. My PC broke and I had to transfer my files multiple times to make sure none got deleted. Somewhere along the way, the file for the half-finished music video was lost. Maybe it's better that way. I wanted them to take me with them, but it seems they all went seperate ways and they didn't care for the friendship we had built up one bit. They left me and I can't help but to hope that someday someone from those days will be there to let me come along.

That really sucks. It's probably for the better the file ended up lost. That way you don't fully have to remember it. It'll suck if the memories come back in your head though.
