Mike, this was GREAT. Hearing some of your thinking on the design features was interesting. I was keen to hear about the adaptive predistortion although I was wondering if you are using the latest Ampleon LDMOS in the amplifier?

Does the flex 3x1 tuner genius work with the 8600?

Yes and the Band changes auto follow the 8600 over the LAN cable connection.

The FLEX arrived late Friday and we had the FLEX 8600M transceiver on our stand all day Saturday.

@@Martin_Lynch OK very good. I watched several YT videos of the Hamfest, including one from ML&S, and none that I viewed showed the radio. That made me wonder if there was a delay more than there is already. I intend replacing my 6400M with the 8400M and just wanted to keep abreast of any info that might help with approximating the expected availability date. MIke, [the analog meter] understand the market and the price point FLEX has positioned itself. FLEX is certainly NOT the least cost, quite the contrary. Also, think about who has the majority of the dollars to spend, and "yes" they are a bit more seasoned [older] and the age does tell and add lots of credibility to the story... - Seasoned eyes SEE the movement a bit easier... 🙂🙃👓

What did he say? 😵‍💫 There’s some very clever people who make incredible innovations, it’s really amazing… This is too sophisticated for me… so someone would say… I suppose you’d like valves etc !!! Well yes, I would,,, 🙂‍↔️ because maybe I’d be able to fix it myself ??? ✂️🪜 I’m not a PhD physicist/electronics holder working for MIT or NASA. 🧐 so I can’t do clever things like this… Thick, hmmm, first to admit I’m not the brightest bulb,,, I only have a license to transmit and receive which is a privilege in itself… but hey, if you’re clever and this lights your candle… all the best to you. 😊 I suppose someone is going to take this the wrong way, sigh !
