Flex is a terrible interviewer, seriously. It is extremely painful to watch him conduct interviews! Let your guests fully answer their questions and develop their stories. Flex asks a question and can't shut up for 1 minute afterward. STOP INTERRUPTING. This is one of the reasons Hot 97 is on a steady and rapid decline.

So dudes respected him for doing his thing at such a young age.. We held cafeteria table for one another at dinner time. So a few times we sat next to one another. I was from PJ's and he knew about the crew I ran under (Bronx sat with bronx. Harlem. BK next or near by etc). I didnt know about edenwald til him. Yo that richie rich getting that paper fr where? He made a great comment about the school he went to. It was a horrible learning environment. Imagine, with his drive if he had been able to pursue a proper education.

As a teacher, I known first hand how the system discourages learning and advancement in some communities. I learned in school that society only wants a specific amount of progress from it's community. So if you are in a low socioeconomic effort is not being put into your child unless the parents are involved.

Is there a such thing as a "legendary" drug kingpin? Aren't these the same guys that destroyed our communities? Systematically, we have the same problems that stem from the work they did and the problems they created. Why we are giving these guys platforms, I don't know. Let's talk about black doctors, scientist, let's encourage the kids to go to college .... I like flex as a DJ, but he seems enamored by the culture of crime. He's a fan. Kids, have knowledge of self.

The same ppl you speak of are corrupt asf, black doctor's, scientists and etc. Black politicians, bankers and etc no one to look up to playing a "postive role" in society so why not listen to an ex drug kingpin tell his story how he escaped the depths of hell in the streets and turned his life around, im all for it.
