How to Tint a Tesla S Back Window

I've tinted 7 or 8 of these and they're pretty easy. The windshield on the p90D model was super gnarly to shrink. The normal model s wasn't too bad. Sounds weird but that's the experience I had.

I don't know if you have made a video but can you do the back of a charger...I just can't get it down

Will it cause trouble to just use spray down the back glass instead of using the hand soap method ?

Ralph, I tried ceramic tinting my personal Tesla Model S and I think I have the heat setting incorrect. I think I was too hot on the heat gun. Can I ask what setting you use or what temperature you believe it is? I couldn't shrink the back window well enough and ended up with creases. I will reattempt it soon but would love your expertise if you can share. Thank you in advance and I appreciate your videos!

He uses max setting about 930F. Shrink more before you squeegee. That will keep you from creating creases.

Can you pop the top of the door panels to remove the sweeps? Or do you have remove the door panel?

@@jeffreyg5718it's the felt or rubber inserts at r bottom of the door glass. They don't between the glass and the door.

Hey same question about the side windows, do you have a video on them? My new film is on it's way can't wait to try it out. I have a 2016 Forester, and a PT Cruiser side windows to do. What tint of yours would match the factory back window tint the best? Any info would be great. Thanks

You are good! I have a model s and the guy said the window might be too big for regular tint over 35” can you tell me if this was the case. I’m offshore so I can’t measure it. Thanks Al

They are one of the easiest cars to tint, but because they are so expensive I find I can charge a lot 😁

REDD Yeah, I ran into a few tinters like you. Probably the reason why I did my own and saved $500. I usually let other Tesla owners know the places that will gouge you just because they think you’re stupid. I live in Indiana, but grew up in Southern California and Arizona where most people realize that even premium film is cheap. At least you’re honest about overcharging decent people
