One change from the manga is the interaction with Kon and Ichigo. In the anime Ichigo says 'Thank you' and Kon says 'wrong line, you're supposed to beat me up' In the manga instead of Ichigo thanking him he beats him up. Kon breaking the 4th wall.

The bowless arrows add in from Ishida, the epic music and sound design last Cor when Hitsugaya gets his bankai back, the Auswahlen scene in general. Just feels, nostalgia and emotion jumping outta nowhere with the steel chair haha.

The way Kyoraku called every Shinigami is anime only and was incredibly wholesome. This is such an upgrade compared to the manga. I loved how the minor Shinigami, the vizards, Aizen, Grimmjow, and even Kon all came back in a single episode. The directing and animation quality are top notch. BTW, the music when Grimmjow appears is the same that plays during Ichigo vs Grimmjow :')

If you remember, after his fight with Ichigo, Grimmjow got back up, Ichigo never fully defeated him. Then Nnoitra came out of nowhere with a surprise attack, but Grimmjow survived that. Then Nnoitra tried to finish him off because he was still alive, but Ichigo protected him. So Grimmjow never died! Also, remember in cour 1 that Quincy who was fighting Ichigo in Hueco Mundo and trapped him inside the Jail (Quilge) how when he was sliced in half by some mysterious character who ended up pointing their sword at Kisuke. That was Grimmjow.

This episode was insanely hype and truly felt like Bleach I remember that after beating Grimmjow, Ichigo put him down gently and was about to move on when Grimmjow got back up and tried to confront him again only for Nnoitra to attack and injure Grimmjow and put him down So he obviously survived that and was probably either healed by Unohana or had enough time to recover himself Unohana was going around healing everyone at the time, even the Arrancar that Chad beat

Most of the new scenes this episode were sprinkled into the speech that Shunsui gives and a few of the smaller soul reapers having dialogue, it really makes the role of Head Captain for Shunsui more fleshed out than the manga.

We're being so well treated with this current bleach revival, it's amazing. The TYBW first timers are being treated with this amazing animation and we manga readers are getting new stuff and lore expansion that's exceeding our expectations. I knew that cour 3 would be the best but DAMN. Even in this episode which has the least non-manga material they managed to put some new scenes. Kubo and Pierrot really care about what they're doing such a good time to be a bleach fan edit: Kyoraku said it once, there are two kinds of battle: one to protect life, one to defend honor. He took a desperate measure in a desperate time to protect everyone's lives. Of course he's cold AF in his approach, but not reckless. Mad respect for my fav captain

Rikichi - Brief appearance in season 3 as Renji knocks out a bunch of soul reapers on his way to save Rukia but hops over Rikichi. Not understanding what's happening, Rikichi says "Renji, why are you doing this?" and then appears again when Hanataro heals Renji's injury after his fight with Byakuya. Kuramadani Zennosuke - Afro dude/ Imoyama san according to Ichigo. Mashiro - Vaizard Yasochika - squad 4 (healing 3rd seat) Cool blonde hair dude with the shades. Appeared in season 2 and 3 directing the healing squad to tend to Ichigo and his friends. Shino and Ryuunosuke - The two soul reapers dispatched to Karakura town to replace Afro dude at the start of tybw.

Grimmjow was able to come above because of Yoruichi's device she inserted at bottom of floor at which they were standing. and perhaps second reason is Ichigo's shihakusho which was created by Senjumaru created holes in barriers which lead upto soul palace. I am not 100 5 sure whether second reason is completely valid or not.

For the scene where kon told ichigo he said the wrong line and wasn't following the script thats a fourth wall break cause the manga version of that scene was completely different and ichigo did beat kon. This is the first episode for like the last 7 episodes that has been mostly manga content. The last 6 episodes were like 70% anime original but this one had a lot of manga scenes in it. The pacing is much better than the previous seasons and theres tons of additions but also sadly some cut content but i guess you can't have it all.
