The narrator has a great voice and elegant, easy to understand British accent, and his reading pace is perfect.

I'm constantly surprised when I listen to one of these stories and realize I read it at some point in my childhood.

It would've been bad ass if he grew old at the end and right before his natural death, turned off the bracelet to have human interaction one last time, only to discover she had lied and it wasn't the end of the world after all.

Nice. Thank you. I note an American television adaptation, same title, on KZbin. It's early fifties fare, 'Tales of Tomorrow", and it is without author credit. I wonder if Clarke knew?

“As a life-giving spirit, I have entered a scene from within. Those who were present could not see me; yet I was so alive with power in myself, that I knew if I arrested it, everything I perceived would stand still. I did, and instantly everyone and everything was stilled.” -Neville Goddard

Thank you for this. One of my favorites. Karma is truly a bitch. I worship Clarke as a God. He was so ahead of his time. Poor Ashton! A man who has the power of a God. And, it's totally worthless.
