Ok on "Man in Full," I read the book some years ago and as a BOOK it's outstanding. Tom Wolfe wrote it, he's a pedigreed Southern writer and that book was focused primarily around appllying Stoicism to modern life. I'm disheartened that the movie isn't better received, but it would honestly be a difficult book to put on film. Still looking forward to the second season (now officially coming) of The Diplomat, a smart, slick, damned well scripted series that suffered due to the writer's strike by not being put out sooner BUT I remain devoted to it.

Peanut butter falcon was way better than I expected. Fun fact! the guy with Downs that acts in it, the movie was written just for him bc he wanted to act. If that doesn't melt your heart, nothing will.

I wish they would offer a premium version that made their entire catalog available from all the different countries. So many of the shows I like were from regions that are now not included. Hardy Bucks, Toast of London, The I.T. Crowd, People Just do Nothing, and some others I can't think of off the top of my head.

What DVD does really well is to expose you to movies you’ve never heard of or considered, especially allot of the foreign language movies, they tend to be spot one. I’m dyslexic so I’m pausing allot to read the subtitles but Darren’s recommendations are worth it

I enjoyed Equaliser 3 as much as the first two films, the scenery is amazing. Sing street is a beautiful film with 80s music and style, makes you feel nostalgic for a bygone era.

War Dogs is great. I worked for a printing company and back around 2016, we ended up doing a job for Warner Bros printing thousands of fake $100 bills that say War Dogs on them, that I believe were used to rain down on the red carpet at the premiere. Still have a bunch of those bills actually.

The Great Wall is one of my all-time favorites. It's not for everyone. The visuals are incredible, they used real priests to perform the acrobatics. If you love SciFi and Asian fight scenes. It's top-notch! Side note: Luhan, one of the stars, is a K-pop mega star. Megastar! And the saddest most compelling character. 😊

interesting, i just checked netflix' own 'coming this week' and 'next week' and there's no listings for neither 'traffic' nor 'the gentlemen' [the movie]... these 2 i really wanted to re-watch and set a 'reminder' function for into my list so hopefully it's a glitch in their preview system... agree with your praise for 'upgrade'... it's still one of my fave sci-fi flicks from the last decade, must've watched it 5-6 times since it came out, definitely under rated...

Upgrade was a very good movie. And if I can remember it correctly, it has a very good twist at the end that you don’t see coming! Definitely one that you want to get on Blu-ray 4K!

SHADOW IN THE CLOUD is a strange little flick with very effective claustrophobic scenes and a few genuinely awesome ones. Once you put yourself in Independence Day mode, it’s terrific. Personally, I found it very enjoyable!

Starship Troopers!! I remember when I was about 8, I wanted to see An American Werewolf in Paris but it was sold out, so I ended up seeing Starship Troopers instead and I think it was the right choice at that moment especially since I went there with high hopes of seeing another movie 🥺 Sh!t happens lol but at least now I can say that Starship Troopers has been one of my favs since then.
