Much respect to you. I did alot of somatic realignment for serious injury and traumas. It was not feel good or relaxing by any means. Too hard on my body, finally went to med school. I have so much respect for LMPs. Their work allows chiropractic work to be effective. As muscles pull bone. Hope you are taking care of yourself and getting regular massages yourself!

I was paddling down in Honduras with three doctors. A chiropractor, urologists', and a general practitioner. After a couple of days paddling the urologist had neck pain. The chiropractor was going to give him his first adjustment. When it cracked, he freaked out, screamed, and though he would be paralyzed for life. Of course he lived to paddle another couple of days.

I had my neck adjusted once in my thirties. I couldn’t relax before he did it. After the adjustment was done, my neck always popped and cracked when I would turn my head. After that I always had issues with my neck. Now thirty years later, these issues are a big problem. I wish I never had a chiropractor touch me. 😢

Thank you for writing about your experience with your chiropractor. Your story is an important one, and we're sorry to hear about your difficulties. Not every experience is the same and it's understandable that yours left a lasting impression. Dr Tyler's approach involves distracting the client- engaging in conversation or guiding their focus elsewhere- right before the adjustment. This helps the muscle stay relaxed and prevents the client from tensing up in anticipation of the adjustment. By minimizing tension, the adjustment is smooth and effective, aligning the spine without strain. We hope you'll find the right care moving forward. Thank you for being here to write. Your comment helped us grow our channel.😊
