Reserve is 5 years at United Unfortunately not every mainline is like Delta Also if you work regional for one or the American Airline groups You get the same priority and travel privileges as mainline AA It really depends on the regional I think AA’s is one of the best Envoy , psa , and piedmont Their pay is also the same as United airlines

That was great information you shared. Good for people to decide what works for them. One thing though, a common mistake of many Flight Attendants. When speaking of the fleet, aircraft is the plural of airplane. Airplane, airplanes or aircraft. Again, thank you for sharing your experience and knowledge. I’ve only worked mainline, never regional.

The pay i google didnt make sense 27k or 30 something k a year i said there has to be like a per diem and some hours extra but your video make sense. I already make 1,200 a week in my current security job so if the pay dont match then yeah i stay with the job i have now. But needed to hear this from a flight attendant so what you think or advice will you give?

As a regional flight attendant, even though we get paid less, we have way more travel benefits than mainline. We just have to find the time to use them😅

That is the nice thing with Regional you get to pick from 4 carriers. And don't have to worry about buddy pass. You can have your spouse/friend come vist you every month if you add them on your flight benefits.

Regional pay has gone up a lot at many carriers. Ours is trying to vote in a new starting pay plus pay raise for current employees.

Regional pay is good if you pay your dues. As someone who has know a flight attendant that works for a Regional carrier she makes a pretty good living. But she paid her dues being with Regional for over 10 years. But to eaches own.

Amber my dearest! I had my F2f with 🔺& 🦅 and didn’t get my CJO! Guess why??? Reach test 😭 I was treated so wonderful and aiming for regionals where 5’ is the minimum height. With 🦅 I was asked to re apply and come back with higher pumps! I’m waiting on the subsidiary to 🦅 but I plan to never give up on mainline 🤞🏼

Depends on airline and base some legacies ✈️ FAs might be on reserve for decades …again depends on base, some regional airline bases the lines move quickly and reserve life might be as short as 2-4 weeks ……

Hi Amber I love your content, thank you for sharing with us! am very grateful for your perspective! I am a 9E FA and I am having a hard time deciding if I should stay or try mainline. We did recently get a significant bump in pay (starting at $24 +) which is nice. I too do not like sitting reserve and I drop reserve days for the month and pick up trips to avoid the anxiety of waiting. I do enjoy knowing when I work and the ease of dropping days and picking up. Is this process the same or similar at Mainline? Now that you have been at mainline a little longer are you still happy with your decision?

Whenever you want ? You just apply to the airline of your choice. It’s either gonna be regional or mainline. You don’t choose on the application.

Depends on the airline love. Some do and some don’t but they will tell you early in the hiring process. The minimum being literally minimum wage.
