Hi @jyotika so I also had this problem of severe ear pain during flight journeys especially when you have a cold. One very effective solution is you close your nostrils and try to release air through your ears by this pressure will release and you will definitely feel better.

Try avoiding eating of nimbu while having throat pain.... because it aggravates cold and throat pain more and ear pain too. I have seen in many of your vlogs were Rajat always sprinkles lots of nimbu.😁

If you have cold for a long time then it becomes a problem of ear pain. I also had this problem. You can get rid of it by taking steam daily.. ❤

I have travelled alot via flights both domestic and internationally, ear plugs really help in easing the ear pain. It doesn't completely stop, but helps. Give it ago. As I am writing this, I am also making a mental note to buy extra pairs for my upcoming flight

Take deep breath, close ur nose and mouth tight with ur hand and try to blow out air thru ur ears..it will release ur ears..frst tym its hard to do ..but once u catch the trick u r good to go

Suck on ice if you get pain in the ear due to air pressure. Always carry chewing gum. If you have congestion, you must put ear drops and nose drops just before flight and chew gum.

Take medicine for your cold because of that you had ear pain and use otrivin nasal spray before boarding the flight and during the flight also..... keep it always inside your purse... paracetamol also can be taken along with that

Hey Naina & Rajat… just an informative comment..I also experienced same kind of unbearable pain in my ear and throat like I wasn’t able to hear properly during my first flight my seat was next to the window after that I always choose seat far away from the window & fortunately I never experienced that kind of pain again in any of journeys if possible try that next time.
