This is awesome! Thanks for uploading this. I was actually at this performance, and it was by sheer dumb luck. I was working right next door at the time at the Arclight Cinema and one of my coworkers who knew about this duo told me they were going to be doing a set at Amoeba that day and that we should go because he knew I would love these guys. We both got off of work just in time to get over there and we had a friend who worked at the store sneak us in at the last minute. What a great day that was!

I live in Edinburgh and saw them the first time they played in the Cave - a venue that was actually a dungeon. They came for a few years and got bigger each time. The sitcom was first done as a radio show for the BBC. Well, not the same but same concept. It featured them as a fictionalised version of their band with the same songs and with the same guy playing their manager. I know Taika Waititi came to Edinburgh with them as he is a pal of theirs. Bret was also in an actual band I like called The Blackseeds. New Zealand Reggae which sounds funny but it totally serious.

Originally they were offered a huge pay day to make season 3 but they refused to forcefully write songs just to make the TV show as the first two season were written around their albums. So much integrity to their work.
