Flight of Valor - James Swearingen (with Score)

This magnificent work based on the well-known hymn “It Is Well With My Soul”, is respectfully dedicated to the heroes of United Flight 93 who tragically lost their lives in a Pennsylvania field on September 11, 2001. Reflective, intense, somber and inspiring are but a few of the words that best describe the emotional make-up of this stunning composition. Commissioned by the Somerset County (PA) Community Band and premiered on the occasion of the one-year anniversary, this piece is certain to become a standard in the repertoire of bands for many years to come. This piece needs to be played at the 9/11 memorial. It's beautiful. Would be cool to see this arranged in full orchestra, but I don't want to limit the woodwind chorale. Also, the patriotic flare of the brass and snares etc.
