Madamsabi!!...I can't believe they are not probing the initial contract for this airport. How can you spend 30 billion naira in an airport and somehow have a runway surface material that isn't suited for international standard/best practices. So does it mean they didn't have have any qualified consultant for the construction or they just ignored them. The money for Just resurfacing which is 11 billion is what other states like Anambra used to build a fully functional airport and int'l standard runway. Efcc and co should be involved if we are serious. Even the cost of the resurfacing should be investigated too. 11 billion naira is too much. Madamsabi please talk about the costs.

Nigeria will continue to remain enslaved until works like these,building and reconstructing airport runways can be done fully by locals.These foreign contractors would make things look like rocket science for obvious reasons.That way we are made to think they are doing something that we can not do.That way they can charge a arm and a leg for simple jobs...Nigerian leaders,make it a duty to train your people in these practical jobs,vocational, so they can be the ones doing all these jobs.That is exactly what china did, not just university graduates and white collar jobs.Thank you.

It will be embarrassing that another 10Billion was approved for runway reconstruction only for airport to be opened and another problem resurfaces, it’ll seem like endless conduit pipe of corruption. They shouldn’t open that airport until all renovation and reconstruction with roof, and runway or anyother building, are in complete order, unless the government wants negative social media ratings and ill will. @madamsabi please call attention to relevant authorities about leaking roofs and falling roofs. If possible reach out to commissioner for aviation, the lady. Oga onyeka pls it’ll do well if you can confirm which of the roofs are falling off and also leaking; name ?
