Flight Over Arizona - Aerial Views in a Piper Arrow III

Join me and my good friend Alan for an impromptu flight over the state of Arizona in his Piper Turbo Arrow III airplane. We take off from Deer Valley Airport in Phoenix, Arizona, and fly over my home town of Carefree, Arizona. We make our way over Horseshoe and Bartlett Lakes, follow the Verde River south over the Usery Mountains, south to Picacho Peak, the Pinal Airpark, and back over the City of Phoenix on this fun-filled fall day.

Great video..we all need a friend like Alan !!! I remember visiting a local airport near me that used to be a RAF base and bumped into a guy who knew my uncle who had passed away year previously.... fifteen minutes later I was up in his private plane flying around Yorkshire...take the opportunity while there !!! I can see some pics on Facebook soon showing us the new 4X plane complete with rooftop tent !!! 🤣 Sure was great seeing some of Arizona from above 👍

Get this, he and I are going to do a flight to the Grand Canyon and land at GC airport. Then hike down bright angel trail and then fly home same day. Doesn’t that sound rad? It’s a 6 hour drive to GCNP from PHX. Only a 1.5 hr flight.

NICE video of the scenery. But most of us pilots like to have the "background" music toned down as soon as the airplane is getting ready to start like you did on short final. We evaluate engines and technique all the time. Music is great for the awesome scenery though.
