Sadly, the video includes no shots of the Whirlpool Rapids of the Niagara River just downstream of Niagara Falls, which on average are the biggest whitewater rapids in North America with 10 to 30 foot waves.

John, the airspace has a lot of restrictions. We had not been given clearance to go north of Rainbow Bridge.

@@JoeHainey - Would airspace restrictions also explain why I never see small noncommercial airplanes flying over the Potomac River from Great Falls to National Airport? This airspace is routinely used by commercial aircraft that take off or land at National Airport. Is it for security reasons that they don't allow small noncommercial airplanes in that airspace? I have seen non-military helicopters flying in the same Potomac River airspace, principally Park Police helicopters. By the way, I really enjoy your Harrisburg to Chesapeake video showing the Susquehanna River! I am a recent subscriber.

@@johnmaxwell1750 You are correct. The Great Falls area is part of the special flight rules restricted airspace for Washington DC. GA planes can fly in the airspace, but there are restrictions and paperwork requirements to keep most GA planes out of the area. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Washington,_DC_Metropolitan_Area_Special_Flight_Rules_Area
