Flight Report | KOREAN AIR BOEING 777-3B5 | 🇻🇳 HO CHI MINH CITY - SEOUL 🇰🇷 KE476 | ECONOMY CLASS

Hi everyone, welcome again!
Today we are flying with the Korean Air Boeing 777-3b5 for the first time (despite how old the aircraft is), here is the flight information
- Flight number/date: KE476/August 9th, 2023
- Flight time: 4 hours 30 minutes
- Aircraft: Boeing 777-3B5 (with the PW engine) HL7534 (25.5 years old)
- Class / Seat: Economy class / 32A

Our trip started at Tan Son Nhat airport check-in counter F. Because we arrived quite early at 8:15pm (the flight time is 12:15am), the check-in counter wasn't opened yet. While we were waiting, we explored all other perks the airport has, I found that some of the counters were extremely crowd, like in Emirates.
After around 1 hour 30 minutes, we passed through passport control and into the airside and walk around. While there are many agents working at the passport control, I found it to be quite slow, and it takes roughly 40 minutes to pass through, also the airport doesn't have many shops available as well.
Back to the plane, the seat was comfortable, with the amazing legroom and amazing width, great recline, the only negative thing I found about this seat was the headrest, which is quite thick for me making my body misaligned with my head and unless we recline, it's quite hard to get comfortable.
The IFE: The entertainment content is okay, but is not too great, I flew on American Airlines and found them to be much better, but overall since this is a night flight, we get to sleep most of the time. Also I don't depend on much of the IFE during the flight to keep me entertained neither
The food: The food is actually really really tasty and I did eat *everything*, you will see in the video that everything except for the main meal were unconsumable but I did eat all that after filming
The service and Crew: The crews were excellent and professional, as Korean air and other Asia carrier in general are known to have above average service
Overall it was a fantastic medium haul flight, and I would fly on this route again if possible!

Korean Air is just one of a handful of air carriers that still have the 9-across seating in the 777s, where a majority have gone to the 10-across club; Cathay Pacific being the latest one to go into this. Even some of the newer 777s that EVA Air are 10-across.

@philippoon8879 I agree, I miss the 3-3-3 abreast in the 777s that make the whole cabin and the seat much more spacious compare to the 3-4-3. Unfortunately, that's the standard today. So I'm glad some airlines (like Korean air, Singapore Airlines, or some older 777s) retain the spacious 3-3-3 abreasts. Thank you for watching!

I'm not sure how often you travel, but I'm looking forward to seeing more if your videos like this. Again, I love seeing the airports. I noticed the Vietnamese dresses and then I looked at your title to see yes you are at a Vietnamese airport. I'm kind of silly because I like these videos because I miss traveling. I don't get to travel often because of current money situation, but I usually fly from the US to the Philippines to visit my fiancé, and then I have to come back. Soon my fiancé and I will be married, but I love the Asias. I usually travel through Japan, but can also travel through Korea depending on flights and cost. Usually it has always been Tokyo the two times I have gone to the Philippines.

I'm really glad that you loved both of my videos. I also missed traveling alot during covid time as well. I also understood your situation so I really hope everything goes well on your and your fiancee side. Also as a student, I have a quite rare opportunity to travel on air, now I'm currently taking Uni which have a load of works. I'm planning to go back to Vietnam next Summer, if I go I will definitely film videos like this again, this time it will be DFW. so in the near future after I got off school I might be as well travel more, and will definitely review more. Not sure why I'm more pleased to see the Asians than Europe and such, but I'll get there too eventually. haha And good luck on your studies! That is most important.
