To be honest, I hate it when false statements are done during the advertisment. Same for PMDG for their EFB for the 737. This was a promised feature to be released after 3 month after the 737 700 release. And still there is nothing out

Yet it is a difference if you really expect something to be out in that time and just can't make it for whatever reason (didn't they say summer and not 3 months btw?) and between doing, well, this Embraer. One of them is about as borderline possible to including criminal energy as possible and the other falls more into the category of an honest mistake. I mean, what would you want PMDG to do? Just release unfinished? Not update the plane as MSFS gets updated to put all resources into EFB development? What's the option?

I agree, this product shouldnt be on the market yet. Or lets say, they shouldn’t had release these promovideos in advance to advertise it. But atleast when it went for sale, it was clearly stated as early acess product.

And it's kinda weird to defend PMDGs never ending story with EFB for 737 and to blame FSS for the small "progress" at the same time imho. It's clearly stated - E175 is in EA. If you don't like it - wait for the full release or just pass. Quite simple.

That LNAV and autopilot feels like the X-Craft E-Jets (v2.5, not the new version they are developing now) on X-Plane... You always pray when you insert something into the FMS...

I am unfortunately still completely unable to fly this plane due to a recurring bug with the right engine shutting down constantly when in the air. I have had correspondence with the devs over it but unfortunately it seems they still haven't been able to get to the bottom of it

It's a long shot, but have you checked your bindings? I remember it was disagreeing with something (can't exactly remember) binded in my TCA Throttle Quaderant, after removing all unneeded bindings, I got the engine to stop shutting down.

If you have an axis bound to Mixture or Condition then that axis will kill the corresponding engine if you lower it to zero, particularly if the physical control is in the zero position and it wobbles around a bit to create zero-value input events that cause the engines to die. I've had problems with this in various MSFS aircraft, solution is to always move the mixture/condition lever to full forward when loading a jet aircraft.

In my case it captures the GS every time now in this case: Near to the GS changing from NAV to HDG on the normal track. Then turn HDG off (!) and then APP on. Then it will take the GS every time now.

I think you are being extremely generous in your findings lol 😁After 3 1/2 months there has been some small progress. It should have been all hands on deck, working around the clock, to get this into a Vatsim Ready state. Yet as you said they were too busy pushing other aircraft out to make this a priority. It was, and still is an absolute shambles. And a slap in the face to anyone who bought this early access. Yet you only have yourselves to blame. You were warned.

I bought this thing back when it first released, I've flown it a handful of times. Sometimes I actually had fun with it, others not so much. It can be really fun for short hops, however yes; releasing other planes with this thing in the state that it is was a complete slap in the face to its supporters. Pretty bad move.

To be honest, the developers knew all this in advance. There is no way how they could have thought anything else, unless they have absolutely no clue about aviation. They decided to bring it out for the noobs, do false adverts and then do the rest of the development afterwards. Honestly, from by experience as a beta tester, this is NEVER going to reach a state where it will be even remotely close to the A310, let alone PMDG or Fenix level. In fact I'd be happy if it reaches Aerosoft CRJ level in maybe 3 years. All fixes done so far are only minor bugfixes, they didn't even thouch the big stuff like FMS or custom AP. And THAT is where you spend years and years getting it working. I've been there, done that (on the Aerosoft Airbus).

@@A330Driver I completely agree with you Emi. I cannot see this ever getting to a state where it will be a "study level" aircraft as was promised right at the outset. If this is as far as they have got after 3 1/2 months of development, then they should just hand it over to another developer. It's not a lost cause. With the right developer behind the project, and with the right focus and roadmap, it could surpass the CRJ, and become what we all hoped it would. With FSS in charge though, no chance.

Yep. Still a no go. But hey, at least it is already much better than a lot of the garbage that is on the msfs market. It is also not just a reskin of a stock plane. Since it is improving, now I have hope that it will be a good add-on maybe in six months from now. A big thank you for revisiting the product and updating us!

Great tutorial, Is the cockpit an addon your displays are different to mine. On take off I found the trim has to be set when rotating to v1 then v2 and it seams to catch on to climb.

Great video. Great aircraft visually. The avionics at present let it down. Following GPS and entering a STAR doesn't work at all. As soon as you intercept the approach - it sends you off to the left miles away from nowhere haha. As for ILS. Good luck 🤣

TBF I just tried 9.7 and its like night and day compared before when i used it. I don't have so many performance issues anymore and stutters i have are very minimal if at all. A basic flight went well but wasnt doing anything complicated alot of the expected AP functionality is missing or doesnt work, maybe its me doing it wrong or bug probably both. There is alot that needs doing and im not going to comment against anything in this video as its fair and reasonable. However, forgetting the history and trying to be positive its going in the right direction. The exterior model is good and hopefully the improvement will continue its usable but should have been atleast this stae when first released and even that is being generous.

Maybe this does exist, but I'd like to see the exact same flight carried out in the PMDG 737. Same route/arrivals/departures, same changes and tests made at the same points in the flight. Just to make sure this is really a fair review, and you're not just throwing extreme situations at the plane to increase the likelihood of it failing the test.

As Chris suggests, what would have been extreme that I did with this thing? This is an easy departure and arrival and enroute all I did was a direct. I've done the same thousands of times in all kinds of aircraft on my channel. I've flown both from Frankfurt and into Amsterdam, though maybe not on the same session. If I really wanted to f*** around I'd do radial in directs, RNP appraoches including RF Legs, Back Course approaches, etc. At this moment however I can't even insert any of that stuff in the Embraer FMC.

How is it? It's got promise, the devs are working on it, but I'd guess it's 2-3 years away from being what we all want. I think doing a 3 month look is a wee too early... I'd wait 9 more months. Compared to existing mature planes, I don't find it satisfying to fly in any regard, nor fun. There's zero reason for anyone to buy it unless you want to help alpha test it to make it better. Normal flight is not expected - Yet....

It's released on the market, any look at any time is justified as people might waste their money on it. And it's shit. I've beta tested aircraft in flight simming for over ten years now and even the earliest betas I've seen weren't this bugged - and those were far, far away from a release. Don't build up hope, from my experience testing and helping developments in the past FS decade this thing will still be shit in a year. Maybe in 3 or 4 it'll start becoming something. Remember the Aerosoft Airbus X in 2010? Around 2016 they were finally at a level that by modern standards would be called "alright". Well, this Embraer is a super buggy Airbus X.

Seems a lot of your die hard followers don't have any TEST PILOT blood in them...LOL. I bought the plane, I don't mind getting my input into the project. The developers seem open and respond well when communicated with. Also next time you fly it, open the windows...

Big things ngs will take time. Anyone who's been in flight sim development for some years and has followed releases like the Aerosoft Airbus can tell you that from here to about the level of Aerosoft CRJ it's going to be years. And if they release the E175 like this in first plane I'd honestly be quite happy to have it at CRJ level at the end... But I'd never expect anything more than that.

​@@A330DriverI've seen the screen of your streaming software (OBS?) when you brought it up quickly to check something in some video. The mic in level was set pretty much to the maximum there, what one could see in the corresponding level meter as well. You need to turn that down, or you'll get this kind of distortion, no matter which microphone you're using. The level meter should not reach its right end, even at very loud peaks! It's an easy fix! And, keep up your excellent content!

I would say anything beyond Fenix/ PMDG level (if at all possible) is overkill in my opinion.

"exceeds PMDG level" As excited as I am for the ATR, I really, really doubt that. Here is a quick list of some items I noticed looking at the trailer: - Idle ITT totally wrong (266deg, should be between 400 and 500deg with PACKS on) - Strictly Identical parameters between both engines (that never happens, especially on ATR) - Cockpit colour is wrong - way too bright blue - Displays are way too reflective, hard to read - A very weird antenna under the tail that doesn't exist and would be destroyed during the first takefoo/landing if it did (guaranteed tailstrike)

I don't know who is saying it will exceed PMDG level, but they are going to be disappointed. There is still a lot missing compared to the real aircraft. Microsoft have a different way of interpreting "study level." Still we will have to wait and see. I for one can't wait for it. Along with the Majestic Q400. If the Asobo ATR can get anywhere near the Majestic at a fraction of the price, we are going to have an extremely good aircraft.

It's sad really, I feel like this thing will never truly "be there" or on the right track until they ditch the stupid default skinned FMS and AP system. The original FBW A320 took a while to get to the level it has today, over two years, but was perfectly flyable especially once they turned to their own coding and their own separate hard fork away from the MSFS model. I feel like once they do that, it'll be infinitely more reliable to use for "standard operation" flights. Until then though... It's a no from me dawg.
