Hey guys, thanks for the feedback! Sorry the website has been down so long; I had to switch hosting providers and had to wait for one to expire so I could buy it from my new hosting service. I should have a 3rd lesson coming soon!

First you said that the twisting action of the joystick controls the yaw. But then at 2:32, you are saying that the foot pedals control the yaw. Do you use the pedals to control the yaw/turning only when you are on the ground, and not when you are in the air? I must have missed something.
@flighttrajectory6 жыл бұрын
The joystick twist is used if you don't have pedals. The rudder pedals control the yaw, and nosewheel steering while on the ground. In flight, the rudder is used for rolling into and out of turns, as well as to maintain runway alignment during crosswind landings (but that's another lesson in and of itself...)

Thanks so much for the tutorial videos!!!! The tutorial in Flight Sim 2004 SUCKS. Much better to have a real non monotone person teach you and not rush you. With these tutroials I will finally have flying down!!

I'm definitely a huge fan of X-Plane. Most realistic, and you can have the most customization. Only downside is that currently, microsoft flight simulator X has an edge for available aircraft addons. (There are more and more becoming available on X-Plane though)

When using a game yoke, you can pull and leave it like so, for instance to climb; but on a game joystick it goes back to center position. How do you pull and leave the plane yoke in climbing position without holding all way long with the game joystick?

My Joystick doesnt twist right/left,, any idea if this might be a problem for steering on the ground?. Recently purchased it, hopefully Ive not bought the wrong one.. many thanks..
@flighttrajectory4 жыл бұрын
Nosewheel steering is linked to the rudder. However, look for an option in settings called "autorudder" or something to that effect. That should link up the ailerons with the rudder, so that when you tilt the joystick left and right, the rudder and nosewheel will move with it. A better option is to buy rudder pedals

What are these 4 red lights at 14:00 and what are they used for??
@flighttrajectory9 жыл бұрын
Dhiraaj Parmar its called a PAPI, precision approach path indicator. It gives you a glideslope to follow when you're coming in to land. I guess I'll make a lesson on it to explain it better :p

flighttrajectory thanks for the reply.Make a video soon.

They only appear red if you're below the glide-slope. If your glide-slope is correct, you should see 2 reds and 2 whites.

Why didn't you use flaps or elevators to climb up?
@flighttrajectory9 жыл бұрын
+Khalid Hasan See lesson 9 about flap settings :) For a normal takeoff in a Cessna 172, you're not supposed to use flaps
@Khalid493709 жыл бұрын
uhu.. the question was about climbing the altitude not to take off..
@flighttrajectory9 жыл бұрын
Khalid Hasan Flaps add lift but they also add drag. For most general aviation planes (including the 172), you don't climb with flaps either. Once you get into larger planes, you often takeoff and climb with partial flaps, and land with full flaps.
