Questions: 1. Can this be used with SPADNext? 2. Using button presses sucks for rotary knobs. Is there a way to toggle between 1 step to Multistep so heading bug isn’t so sluggish. 3. Are these rotary encoder knobs or potentiometers? Thanks!

Discovered this device a week ago and have one due in over the weekend. May have to pick up the mount too.

He Sean, yeah it’s a really great device. One of the best items I found this year and I have had the opportunity to review a lot of products. As for the mount, I wouldn’t use it with out it. The form factor of the device is very skinny and flat, and is a little hard to use without the mount. All the best.

Just ordered the device and the stand a few minutes ago ... should make using the Autopilot a lot easier.

IMAP 24 Pro looks good and is a possible solution for a desktop. Looks like the USB C comes right out the top? Why not hide it out the back?
@AusFlightSimmer27 күн бұрын
No it comes out the back.

I am curious to know if it can also work with the Fenix A320 ?

All that you can bind to either a joystick button or keyboard key will work with the MIAP also. FS2024 promised even more functionality

Hey there. Great video. I'm a subscriber of yours. Does this unit work to adjust the Garmin g1000 or g 3000? Thanks so much. Keep the videos coming.

I’m disappointed somewhat in what I’m seeing. To not include at least a couple wedding-cake knobs for things like actual coms or gps functions was a huge oversight on their part. As you adjusted frequencies it appeared you were only adjusting the minor numbers. I’m assuming you have to push something to get it to switch to the major numbers. That seems clunky to me - even worse if you click the rotary to do that because there goes the cursor function should you want to use one of them for gps function. All could have been resolved by including at least two of that style of rotary. Seems like a waste of potential.

This unit is probably aimed mostly at Xbox users like myself, since PC users have other (better?) but more expensive options. Being such a short video, it doesn't look like Aus had his unit set up completely. When adjusting the coms, he was pushing the "swap" button but it wasn't swapping. Yes, all the knobs are also push buttons. Push to select mhz, turn to adjust, push again to select khz, turn to adjust. Same with transponder: push to select first number, turn to adjust, push to select second number, etc. They also have a MILI23 unit with actual switches for lights, battery/avionics, flap & gear levers, trim wheel, etc. Kind of surprised he didn't get that as well. They both take a fair bit of time to set up, and they're not without their quirks. One of the switches on my MILI, I think fuel pump or pito heat, actually controlled something like interior lighting in the default 172. But I think that's an issue with that aircraft code, not necessarily the unit itself. Not a huge deal, since any switch can be mapped to any function, but since the switches are labelled, it's a bit of a downer.

Adding everything you mention is possible but would increase the size and price. That is always the tradeoff
@Corsair8X28 күн бұрын
@@Poonyas That goes without saying. Not sure why the size is of particular importance to the design (especially given that it would only be a slight increase) but it is clear that this was designed to a particular price-point.
