I agree with a previous commenter, this was a Fun Training Video. It show what Helicopter training (Pilot Training) is all about, both Work and Fun. Another Fan here with 'Thumbs Up'!

I dabble in flight simulators, and I even knew some questions and procedures from the video, I'm feeling good about myself. Respect to any aspiring pilot. You have to know and learn so much and helicopters are absolutely awesome.

This was an excellent video. In terms of training, I think it is one of your recent best. Going through the flight process with a student and the test questions you ask make for a great presentation and learning tool. It would be good to expand on some of the points you make here such as recovery from an unstable pattern and engine failure in future videos as I'm sure this information would be valuable to others as well. Keep up the good work!

Heh Mischa, hope you found Dewdney - looks like there's a great Pub there! So pleased to hear how well your students are doing and developing their careers on the back of their training experience with you. Good luck with your skills test Carlton!

If I ever finally get around to get some instruction, I’d like someone as competent as you in the port seat.

Hi Mischa! Thanks for a great video! My question: why avoid autorotation when the main gearbox light is on?

So are you saying 15ft above ground is where you start getting out of the white out or dust and where you begin having full visibility? Thanks for the awesome videos!!

You’re a top notch teacher👌, thanks for the useful vids and information. Quick Q: Are there any flight schools in southern CA that you’re familiar with and would recommend? Having the right instructor is everything I’d love to find somewhere with the same care you show for your students to trust with my training. Thanks again!

Barbarian King there is a school in CA that trains on the Cabri. I don’t know their instructors personally but they have the aircraft right so that’s a good start.

Just saw that you answered my question, thanks for taking the time! I guess I should have been more clear I’m in Southern California USA not southern Canada. I should have made that distinction. I know you’re school is in Canada but figured it was a small world and you might have heard the word amongst peers of good schools in California. After following your videos I’ve grown to trust your opinion and thought it was worth asking. Thanks again

Sounds like there is work in Canada 🇨🇦 I did my training 23yrs ago in Australia. I spent years looking for work. I was willing to do anything including no pay just to get a start. Eventually I had to give the dream away. ☹️

Are there flight simulators where people from the public can go to train their reflexes?

What do you charge from 1st lesson to commercial license for the Chopper? You're an excellent teacher, it's bad enough with a nervous newbie being in a chopper flying upwards of 500 to a 1000 feet especially in the early learning stages, he sure doesn't need someone giving him a hard time. P.S. I think Dalton was an excellent student who was like a sponge and really listened to everything you taught him and because of you he will go on to be a great chopper pilot.

Not long at all! I would've watched another 20 minutes. Being a helicopter pilot has always been I'm my mind but I've always put it off because I assumed it was out of my range price-wise. I'm going to investigate how much it actually costs, damn it.

If you are a higher altitude with a main gearbox failure what do you do, if you don't or should not do an autorotation?
@PilotYellow6 жыл бұрын
lacidy you just start heading down as quickly as possible. You can actually decend very quickly even when you aren’t in an auto.

Try to convince a random person to enroll to flight school. Now that would be a challenge
