Unfortunately, It's unlikely for them to launch flights to the US soon because of three reasons: 1. They were denied by the Japanese Government to sell tickets between Tokyo and Los Angeles. 2. They failed to comply with the ICAO safety standards. 3. Lastly, Garuda Indonesia would face strong competition from the Gulf carriers and other Asian carriers offering one-stop services (like SIA, PAL, etc.) in the US market. That's why, Garuda Indonesia would be better off establishing it's Skyteam partner Delta to cover the US routes in order to avoid financial losses which is why it's expansion routes never happened again. That's why Garuda Indonesia may not launch US flights in the near future.

But if they had launched the LAX route sooner, I would've loved them to see them expand to JFK, SFO, DFW, IAH, SEA, and launch two destinations in Canada like YYZ and YVR next.
