Mahalo my friend I did find your video very helpful. Just got my tower today, with my new emax 2306 white top, "red bottoms", and my new Rotor riot Stingy frame, designed by stingy swarm, I hope to have a great new flyer, Keep up the great work, this hobby needs people like you. For people like me. Once you hit a certain age, your brain cells don't work so well, to try and figure things out ourselves. Mahalo!!!

This has helped me make my decision to get that stack. Also, this is the first build video that I watched all the way through!

Had my first flight with this build today, except with f-40 pro 2600 motors, and man. What a beast. The whip totally sucks but totally fine with the Sma. Going to upgrade to the xsr rx, and maybe the VTX to either a unify hv or tramp. But the frame with those motors is day any night from my awk 210. Handles amazingly. I ended up trimming the motor wire wholes a little bit but that's it. Awsome frame Mike, thanks so much!

JayBird FPV how's the stack, I just orderd one and Iv seen so many people having problems and esc smoke, is it ok how's it treating him getting f40'pro 2400kv with gemfan :)
@jaybirdfpv50347 жыл бұрын
I'm liking it. I just got back in from flying. Still good. I did have a few issues with rssi displaying properly, but I think that was me. The stack has been great.

JayBird FPV nice good to hear, not being rude or anything but do u push the board to its limit like do u shred ass or criuse around or in between 😂
@jaybirdfpv50347 жыл бұрын
Rcflyer 101 a bit of both. My second flight was all out. The only thing I'm not sure about is the vtx. Think I'm Gunna put a unify vtx on it. Already changed the Xm+ to the xsr.

Nice video Mike! I did have an issue with my fc board...but the emax and Flight Club customer service is TOP FREAKIN NOTCH!!! I let Mike know about my issue on the board...and he actually contacted emax for me...like a day after getting out of heart surgery...what!? Short story made long - i'm getting a replacement FC component at no charge. Looking forward to getting this tower in the air and see what she can do.

Solid video man. It is an interesting/tempting stack. I think if they were able to fit a receiver with full telemetry and a VTX with smart audio it would be 100% no brainer. I am still tempted just because of how clean it is but I would miss some of those perks.

I am sooo glad that I saw this video. I put the Magnum in an Alien Frame and it is flying better than my KISS FC and ESC Alien! And it is such a clean and easy build compared to KISS build.

One tip when it comes to soldering - use flux to prevent cold joints. If you pre-tin everything and then just "weld" it together, it's a very poor connection which is prone to cracking due to high content of oxides - especially with vibrating elements! Flux successfuly removes the oxides and lowers melting point, making soldering easier. Another thing you're doing wrong is that you don't have any tin on your iron when you are joining two pre-tinned terminals. if you solder thick wires and large elements, having hot solder on your tip shortens time it takes to melt the tin due to larger contact area (already melted tin sticks to pre-tinned terminals) and protects the terminals from oxidation.

great video, i'm nearly there, well I think I am ready to build my own quad, I hate building things, or the thought of being a drone mechanic feels me with dread, but loved how little soldering and few wires there are, I have a wizard 220 and I've seen many videos of the internals and omg it's a mess inside, the day I fly it and it breaks there is no way I'm every taking the top plate off , I bought the rtf version, I have watched a few of your builds now and this is the only one where I might have ago and try to build it, but would still prefer to buy it in rft if they did one for sale, anyway thanks again and will subscribe, cheers

Very creative video and amazing skilled flight. 1. How did You mount the battery? 2. What was your setting on soldering iron? 3. How to disable Arrow OSD and where to connect those white and black wires to, to do it? I am new to building drones. THX
@FlightClubFPV7 жыл бұрын
battery is mounted on the bottom of the quad. i always just leave my iron set at 850. it makes it much easier the arrow comes with a 5 way control board. connect the black and white wires to change the camera settings. long press on the middle button will get you into the main menu. for osd, press and hold up and middle.

I know this video is old but been flying this stack for a couple months now trying to get RSSI. I know there is a way to flash the xm+ with different firmware if I use a re-wired servo cable and update it thru my taranis Qx7 but it seems like a lot for an AIO why wouldn't the XM+ come with RSSI pre-installed? If there is something obvious I'm missing and anyone can help much appreciated!

as far as I know the XM+ doesn't support telemetry. you'll need to use a xsr or similar for telemetry
