Flightline OV-10 Bronco Fine Tuning 2nd Flight, Flaps and Rates adjusted!

Flightline OV-10 Bronco tune flight I adjust flaps settings along with bring the expo down from 40% to 30%. This flight was done with dual 3300mah CNHL 40c 4s batteries.
Receiver: Admiral RX600SP
Transmitter: Spektrum IX12
Battery: 2x 3300mah 40C 4s CNHL
Timer Set: 6:00 actual flight 6:13
Landing Battery life: +\- 29%

Thanks bud! This plane is bulky and most of that is because of the booms and the huge elevator area. But it flies amazing!

@@ljhobbylife, I’m torn between at the moment on this one or an Avanti Freewing, Flightline Spitfire or the FMS P47. Heck, I can name more. LOL The list never ends does it?

@@paulhatcher9767 it’s a good list, they all fly amazing, Spitfire flies great, FMS P47 is a great flier but a bit slow, ov-10 amazing and real docile, and the Avanti is one of the best flying EDF’s on the market! All depends on what you really want to fly or what was your last purchase I like to go prop, jet, prop jet lol, keep the stable even 😆

Noticed in your comments that the nose drops when you apply flaps. Have you tried using Elevator-to-Flap Mixing when the flaps deploy? Would be nice to be able to use the full range of flaps so it can come in much slower "on the Vref" so to speak. Mine is still in the box and about to put it together. 🥰🥰

Thanks gradenko! I figured out the proper mix and was able to do a couple flights after this with perfect flap deflection! Take that bad boy out of the box and fly it you’ll love it!! 👍🏼🙌🏼

@@MerryBoozerRC I’m actually from Orlando lived most my life there, almost all my family lives there, but I went back active duty a few years back and my latest assignment moved me from Orlando to San Antonio. So I went and stayed with friends and family, then enjoyed Thanksgiving there, I didn’t have to cook this year so it was a win win😆!!

Elevator correction in the right direction helps, huh....do you use any rudder on your rolls? Nice flight!

😂 yup bone head move lol! I normally don’t use rudder on my rolls, I use my rudder a lot on turns since I learned to fly with quadcopters doing a lot of FPV, but I will definitely try it on the next flight, I have done opposite rudder with sport planes to clean the roll a bit, someone showed me that one time! Can you share your final flap to elevator mix? Still struggling a bit with mine.

Ok so I use Spektrum and what I got was: Pos0: 100 Flap and 0% Elev Mix Pos1: -65 Flap and 10% Elev Mix Pos2: -15% Flap and 16% Elev Mix That’s what I ended up with, it works pretty well, but do remember I like to fly nose heavy. Also you could try setting up flight modes to fine tune your flap settings. 👍🏼

Great footage and commentary. I too fly with an iX-12 and am trying to set up with the Admiral RX600SP. The manual does a poor job explaining the Rx set up. i.e. throttle into channel 3 (say whaa?) Ch 3 is elevator, but not according to their diagrams. Any pointers? I can get the motors to start up (chime) but not go armed; hence no throttle. Do you set up as a one aileron - one flap type aircraft? Normal tail? again, all these things not explained in the manual. Help me LJ, you're my only hope!

Thanks Scairborne66! So I set my planes up TAER ch1 throttle, ch2 Aileron, ch3 Elevator, ch4 Rudder, as far as remote yes one aileron on flap. What plane are you setting up, maybe I can help you that way too!
