As old as the Comengs are and as cool as the HCMTs are, I'll still miss the Comeng and Siemens trains when they leave the Pakenham/Cranbourne line, especially since I live on that line.

The interior of the Comeng railcars are similar as in the design of the Adelaide's 3000 and 3100 class railcars introduced in service in the 1990's. Adelaide's suburban railway system has not seen any changes on scenery for a long time from the 1960s when the old Red Hen diesel railcars were in regular use. Adelaide's electric trains has only started on Seaford rail line in 2014 the new extension of the Noarlunga Centre line opened in 1978. Now, Gawler rail line are now served by electric train services in June 2022, but I haven't had a ride on it since the electrified line started.

I went out filming at South Yarra today and the HCMT's were not going away

I filmed at Hawksburn in November 2021 and there were only a handful of HCMTs, everything else was a Comeng, Siemens and X'Trapolis train. It's insane how they've taken over the Pakenham and Cranbourne lines in 1 year.

I really like HCMT trains.

But they are on the Cranbourne and Pakenham lines, except by 2025 they will run through the metro tunnel.

@@thelionking219 What is to like about them? They're absolute garbage.
