I don't usually like bow hunting in games, but it seems odd even to me that they don't have bows. It seems like they use actual brand firearms in this game, so maybe they have to work out some kind of license agreement with bow companies before they add them. Who knows, seems like a no-brainer for them to do at some point.

I’ve started something similar in my lodge for above the fireplace. I have a elk in the middle, a mule deer on the right and planning for a whitetail on the left but I’m trying for all 5 stars. I wish I could move my moose to above them to have an all deer species section.

Can you please make a guide on how to get closer to animals? I find myself continuously spooking animals I were not even aware of. From 150 meters away while crouch walking (Not sneaking) they just start running while being behind a hill and the wind is in my face..... That is the worst part of this game for me where I keep on failing to find stuff to hunt because they run away from me before I manage to even spot them. Another thing I would appreciate is if you provide your route on the map. You've mentioned that you're usually hunting from dawn to dusk - So a route would be nice

I had the same problem. I read adventurer difficulty was broken and hunter mode is actually easier. Maybe try that? I'm not to sure if it's still the case tho

Just a personal experience. I've had.... the 2 deer I've shot fataly that didn't drop on the spot, ran slightly up hill like the deer in the beginning of your video. Both of my deer had both lungs torn in half and 1 had the heart ripped up. Both ran purely on adrenaline. I expected em not to run into the woods due to being uphill but thats where they both went.

Hi flinter I’m very new to call of the wild and totally new to any type of hunting especially being from the uk. I realise you probably get these requests all the time but I could really use some help and advice on this game in real time as I genuinely have zero experience or idea on hunting I also seem to have to get so close to any target to make a shot yet I see ppl getting kill shots from around 200 yards etc. ty in advance for any help and advice 👍

I recently shot a 2 ⭐️ mature elk and it had 98 percent genetics. I was so confused and felt kinda robbed because why is a mature 2 ⭐️ 98% fitness

If you really like realism and taking things slow, WOTH for sure. But if you want a faster paced game with more shooting opportunities then I’d go with COTW. I love both games personally.
