Ultimately, the rock is in charge, but I'm always amazed at how well you can convince it to do what you want it to!

Question for you I am also a knapper been doing it for a year and a half now. How do you support your pieces so well I knap obsidian and I think my biggest problem is support. Any tips would be great also love the work you do.

I’ve been following this project along, but am starting to wonder where we are going… what are you planning to have at the end? Some knappers will show a historical example in a book and say “I’m going to build this point.”

He may not even know exactly but suffice it to say it`s going to be a long blade. Maybe just his own style blade not looking to copy any specific era. It is coming along nice. Slow and steady wins the race.

I know its hard to keep a 6 foot blade centered 😁

I much prefer moose antler for the finer percussion.

The focus is fine on your video. However, you pull the blade up and out of the picture. When you look at the edges. Your viewers can't see what you're looking at. Just a thought.👍

I was waiting to see if he noticed he was a tad out of frame but mostly in frame so it was ok really.
