Thanks as always for the content, Chris! The seen vs. the unseen. Because we don't "see" opportunity cost, it's one of those things we find very difficult to manage. One of the great psychological advantages to using a policy loan is that you can "see" the interest you're being charged. So by turning an invisible cost into a visible one, you help yourself (psychologically) to manage it better.

Does this mean I have to pay what I would be saving into the Life insurance policy? I don’t mind this however, If I need to access that money quickly. I cannot for a set amount of time. I considered front loading a policy as well but that kind of money is hard to come by. Any advice ?

Yes, you keep savings in life insurance. This is above what you need to operate your household with on a monthly basis to pay basic bills. You can access your money in 72 hours in most cases. So for the long term efficiency it provides, I don't see many emergencies that would require you to access much quicker... Also build your credit and have a good credit line in combo and it is magic. As for front loading, most of the time it is a reallocation of other assets or cash from the liquidation of a property they just sold. That help?

@ it helps. I just have a hard time seeing a policy that I can access my emergency fund right away with. It’s the only thing holding me back. If I have $500/mo in cash above my savings to contribute how can I do this? Can I schedule a time with your team to look over some models?

Chris, this drawing is not accurate, as the debt part should be shifted to the right and a bit lower due to interest, i have this in excel if u want
