I don't do things because they're trendy. I don't care what people think. I do what I want. People have been wearing flipflops for decades. Nothing new. I wear flip flops because it's hot. However, I won't wear flip flops if I go to an upscale restaurant....or when it rains, because that's just gross on New York streets.

almost every year flip flops are a fashion statement or a trend in new york and other states especially is a latest fashion statement to the young people like in their 20's, 30's 40's even 50's, also latin countries also like wearing flip flops, in summer time in New York and other states I also have seen another style of sandals people are wearing out there, I think alot of people have seen one of the latest fashion statement or latest trend this year in 2024 for summer time that are for women like for the young of age ones that are "Bailarina" style flats like with no heel with no strings to tie but it have strap you tie or snap closed side ways there like leather material also I seen it in mesh material in those style of women flat shoes
