That's what I love about K! She is very different from the others on KZbin because she expresses how we often feel with our own colouring. I never see someone like Zucchini Kitty sweat because she never shows or tells us about her struggles. I like how genuine she comes across to us and that's why you keep tuning in. :) I agree she is hard on herself at times, but aren't we all?🙃🤣😊

As far as migraines go, several family members suffer with them. Im sure youve tried some home remedies but dairy, milk specifically, contributes to various maladies. One of which is fibromyalgia which I have. After years of being told to get off cow milk, I finally did it and that and taking many vitamins have helped so much. Anyhow, I will pray you find relief soon! Blessings!

I know this is an older video so you may have already figured out your migraines by now but I get them too and usually there are things that trigger your migraines. One of my triggers are sinus headaches from allergies and sinus issues that I have. If I don't take ibuprofen as soon as I feel a sinus headache starting, it will get worse and worse until it's a full blown migraine. Bright lights and stress, or if I get too hot while sleeping are also triggers for me. Once you figure out the things that are triggering it, you can avoid those things and get less migraines. Hope this helps! Oh and I also have a prescription medication that I can take for migraines. It's called imitrex and I can take it to help me get over a migraine. But it's hard on your heart so I don't take it unless I really need it.
@ColouringwithKАй бұрын
I think stress triggers it but it’s hard to manage the stress as it’s something that is just part of life, I guess I can try relaxation and breathing techniques which will probably help too. There will be other things that trigger it too but I need to identify them. Thank you for your helpful comment 😊❤️
@silvers_inkАй бұрын
@ColouringwithK You're welcome!😊 Yea, you can avoid some stress, but you can't avoid all stress because things happen in life that creates stress. Sometimes certain foods can trigger your migraines as well. What helped me figure out some of my triggers was to keep a journal and log all of my migraines. I would write down the date and what time it was when the migraine started and when it ended, and I would write about what I had been doing that day, what I ate, and things like that. Eventually after a while of keeping the journal of all my migraines I was able to look back and see patterns. For example, I noticed that a lot of times I would wake up with a migraine and I would be so hot and sweaty, so I figured out that if I get too hot while I'm sleeping it can trigger a migraine. I think that keeping a journal and logging your migraines might be helpful for you too!

I desired these books for SOOOO long then I finally got them from Amazon Japan. I flip through them, get cold feet, and put them back on the shelf. You are inspiring me to get over it and put some color down! I did start one in Symphony of Cute Animals awhile back but got so intimidated by the idea of doing fur. I'll never learn of I don't start trying though! And anyway, I know you don't HAVE to do a full fur texture bc the line art suggests it already. But it doesn't take much to make my brain shut down the idea to work in them fearing I'll muck it all up 😟
@karinswartz30462 жыл бұрын
Just jump right in and experiment. I. often do the first page like the Name Plate page or the first page of a book that has some text on it. I get my feet wet that way. Also using pastel colour pencils are often very forgiving and an easy way to start your first page. I have really been enjoying the Brutfuner Macaron set of 50 which makes most pages look quite nice and I'm a person who practices a lot but still struggles with line art. Good luck, be brave and enjoy. :)

@@karinswartz3046 aww thanks for the encouragement and advice! I just put my 3 sets of pastel pencils together in one case and one of them is the macarons. I have been wanting to lighten up my coloring lately as I notice they're all really saturated and dark colors even when I try to go lighter. I should try to only use them on a page!
@karinswartz30462 жыл бұрын
@@colourfulpyrate Yes, try a few pages with just your pastel pencils. I would actually just try working with the 50 set of Macarons because you won't believe the results and it narrows things down .Then go back in at the end and figure out where you can add some darker layers of the pastel. Add a tri-colour or solid soft chalk pastel background. i just finished a picture in Maria Trolle's book with the Macarons and a tri-colour background and I'm so pleased and I'm my own worst critic!

It's weird to think that you get intimidated like that because your colouring and especially how you seem to know where to put embellishments and sparkly goodness is just so beautiful to me.... but yeah when you see other people's pages and think I wish I could do that it is really intimidating, then my daughter looks at one of my coloured pics and says I wish I could do that so it puts it back into perspective for me ....that I CAN do that 😁 we are our own harshest critics it seems when everyone else is thinking oh how beautiful lol
@ColouringwithK2 жыл бұрын
You are completely right. Thing is we all have the capacity to produce great coloured pages but I think we will always be more critical of our own work. There’s a pattern with me, while I’m colouring a page, I often get discouraged because I think it’s not good enough or should’ve looked better but I make myself carry on, and usually I end up really liking it. Even though I know it’s not perfect, if I like it, I’m happy! ❤️😊

Hi K, I just got this book recently, and totally ruined the double page spread that’s reminiscent of little red riding hood. ☹️ Now I’m hesitant to try a new pic. I find the paper in this book very unforgiving, when it comes to erasing mistakes, or trying to cover up mistake, unfortunately. ☹️ xo
@karinswartz30462 жыл бұрын
Hi Jeanie, care to explain how you think you messed up? Don't get too discouraged. What I do in those instances is, I go back to the page and examine what went wrong. A great way to learn and experiment is to try to salvage the page. Use the page as a practice and experimental piece. You have nothing to lose because in your mind the page is already messed up. Just throw everything at it to try to salvage it. A background, deeper colour, erasing as well as you can in an area and adding a different colour, highlighting areas with a white, cream or lighter pencil, outlining, using a marker, using stickles,, adding a chalk pastel background. Messing up a page is really part of the process and that is why there are so many more pages in a book, lol. Once you do that, then close the book and put it on a shelf. Keep practicing with other books and things with lower stakes and then in a few months, pull out the book and colour a small area only. Sit back and see how you feel. Have you improved? Do a bit more or close the book. You will see that you will be more ready to tackle the book within time and the more you practice. That's what I have been doing. Hope that helps and encourages you to revisit the page and see what you can do with it.
