I definitely relate to your goal of "acceptance", I've also had issues of trying to ingratiate myself, or even dismissing things that sincerely bothered me because I wanted to have friends, whether or not they were the right friends for me. It's tough, but I know there are people who are right for you. Read 24 books is also one of my goals! Also, as a librarian, I am so excited for you to get your new library card!
