This book is awesome! I got it about a year ago after seeing it on somebody's channel and it helped me a lot. Definitely made me go out of my comfort zone and use combinations I'd normally never would think of. Colour schemes on the internet are fine, but I prefer seeing them in real life. I love the concept of the colour cubes, but yeah, I'm not paying 90ish € for them.

I am so glad you like the book. I hope I will appreciate it as well. I also like to have something printed in my hands to match my colors. 😀 Do you like to use the keyword index or do you just pick a color palette that speaks to you?

@@bubbleofcoloring That depends on what I'm colouring. For mandalas I usually pick a palette. Sometimes I want to use a specific marker, then I use the colour index to find the closest match and use that palette. I tried using the keyword index for pages with a certain theme, but most of the time I can't find keywords I'm looking for, so in the end I flip through the palettes anyway😅 For me the colour index is a lot more useful than the keyword index.

Thank you so much for the compreehensive and detailed review! This book will be my next purchase. About the codes for colours, when I learned to use Photoshop many years ago, I learned that any colour can be represented in software by the amount of red (R), green (G) and blue (B) so the codes you see next to a colour mean the amount of R, G and B. For instance if you use Word, you can chose More Colors/Customize and in this box you put the amount of R, G and B, and you get the colour you choose. The CMYK codes for colours are used for printers and printing. The colours can also be represented by using hexadecimal codes (a different system from decimal). For instance #0000FF is a Hex code for a blue colour (there are many blues), the RGB for it is (0, 0, 255). Happy colouring!

7:52 CMYK en RGB zijn voor de kleuren digitaal en om te printen. CMYK staat voor Cyan, Magenta and Yellow (de K vergeet ik altijd) en zijn dus de primaire kleuren. RGB staat voor red, green en blue. Die codes maken samen de kleur. Ik heb dit boekje ook, had het net nog in mijn handen, toevallig. De colourcubes vind ik te prijzig en ik heb toen alleen de colour catalogues gekocht.

Weer iets bijgeleerd! Ik denk niet dat het van toepassing is om te kleuren, LOL. Ik vind de color cubes echt mega duur. Zeker omdat de taxen nog niet berekend zitten in de verzending. Dat kan zo nog oplopen tot €30 opleg ofzo. Misschien ooit in de toekomst... Ik ga het alvast met dit boekje proberen!
