Yeah and that dental-trim detail is one reason why. I think my mom’s bedroom furniture looks like this, but actually prettier after it was refinished (our house burnt down). The thing with high quality, heavy wood furniture is that my parents were able to have all of those refinished, and the beating us 6 kids did to them was erased. She asked me long ago what I would want when she goes and I’ve had dibs on the bedroom set since I was 15. I’m now 56 and look forward to eventually refinishing it myself. There is a baby picture of me on my dad’s lap with the bedroom furniture in the background. Lauren and partner-you guys are doing great!

I have this desk! It's got all of the same trim and all the same features including the hardware. It's the kind of desk that you don't have to put against the wall that you could put in the center like an executive desk so my plan is to strip off all the veneer and paint the entire thing a beautiful shade of pink to go in my Umbridge themed office

Love the color choice, reminds me of what vintage lace looks like❤. Also great idea with the guilding wax on the hardware. Was worried you were gonna stick with the gold, or paint it black. 200.00 for the bedroom set that was a great deal in the store it would cost more brand new and you did a good job remodeling them I hope you got the price you're asking for don't cheat yourself out make sure you get what you're asking for I wish I could have that bedroom set Brian got that kind of money I'm on SSI a fixed income most of my stuff in my house I got on an auction when my husband was still working my husband is retired now he's 65 years old he worked for 20 years at a rug company hi old bosses our landlord for the past 10 years we have a small two-bedroom apartment which is good enough for the two of us my husband has no children but I have four from my first marriage they're all in their thirties and live on their own may the Lord God be with you I love you keep the videos coming I like how you explain everything you're doing and what everything cost and what it cost you to buy the furniture

How long are you waiting to stage after painting? I am finding that my pieces don’t pass the fingernail test after a couple days even when scuff sanding and using an all-in-one paint like dixie belle’s silk and just am wondering if I’m doing something wrong or am just not patient enough.

The floetrol is to extend the drying time to make sure the paint levels out. She added a little water to thin out the paint.

This is Lorraine always remember to wear a mask and gloves you should wear a protective suit over your clothes so you don't get paint on your clothes don't breathe in the paint for the primer wear a mask and gloves please always wash your hands when you are done with your project make sure you are well protected when sanding and painting and priming
