Flipping bushes and lay downs for spawning Atchafalaya Basin bass

Last minute decision to make an afternoon trip to the Atchafalaya Basin and I’m glad I did! All my fish were caught flipping a Texas rigged DBomb with a 5/16oz weight in Bruiser and Love Bug colors.

Me n a buddy had a lil competition. I used night crawlers and a stopper and he used everything im his box. I got tired of catching fish. I caught other fish but mostly bass. I tell no lies. Fat worms. In Bayou Pigeon.😮

Man, a kayak would be rough. This spot was a 30min run going 35-38mph. But dead end canals seem to be hot spots this time of year!

A lot of that area looks really fishy and similar,so how do you decide which areas you should really spend a lot of time in and which areas you should just cast a few times in

I hadn’t been to this area in awhile. It’s a few deadend canals off of a lake. Figured they would be moving into to spawn and they were!
