What about that MTA supervisor who did this and bragged about it, he cheated the system over 100k, paid back 10k, got to keep his job and his car. The team that came up with cashless tolls should be accountable for not thinking ahead or fixing the problem. That 1% number is outrageous, I see someone with obscured plates almost every time I drive. Most of them only cover the back to block speeding/red light cameras.

All roads and highways should be free to travel on as our taxes should pay for the upkeep. To me tollroads are nothing but another unfair tax placed on all of us. We have a tollroad here in Oklahoma that goes from OKC to Tulsa (Turner turnpike) that has been paid for fully for decades but they keep running the same scam and now it's a $10 round trip. Come look at the long term parked cars all over mosholu ave and vicinity in Riverdale. There’s out of state cars parked everywhere here. No registration displayed. No emission /inspection sticker displayed. Expired plates. Last month my registration expired and I was issued a ticket for an expired registration. I had renewed the reg online and was waiting for the reg to come.

I have no sympathy for this system that is in place..Most don't even have toll takers for those people that want to pay cash and not give companies/government access to there accounts and if u don't pay by the 7th day it's crazy penalty fee way above what even the irs is allowed to charge..they save money all around by not having people working collecting cash from drivers(tolls don't go down but actually up in most states),up keep of work facilities, toll booths,etc millions being saved..They hire third parties (such as ez pass) to collect and when u don't pay there outrageous late fees and continued penalties the suspend ur registration, license renewal, which snowballs to no inspection and no insurance cause u have to have current registration on that car that u are still making payments on..If u drive it will get impounded..I had 300-400 in unpaid tolls due to tolls plaza in nh being closed during covid in that year they wanted over 3000 dollars to lift suspension on registration. Yes I owed them cash for tolls and even if u want hit me with a penalty at 100% cost that would be high but achievable..I don't know how it's legal and not being addressed. GO on ezpass bbb u will see horror stories of people oweing 10s of thousands of dollars so they are making bank and if the state isn't then they allowing these companies to In bezzle This cash and then enforce it By taking your right/ Privilege to drive. It's crazy to me. In my case they let me pay a $1000 To get my registration reinstead . By the amount of money they made during covid they've decided to only open the tolls for about 10 hours A-day Then you're forced to go to the digital section

The tolls to go from New Jersey into the five boroughs now are ridiculous. There is no valid reason behind this other than corruption on the part of these agencies. $16 to cross the GWB? Does that include lunch? That bridge has been there for decades. I get it, every year maintenance costs go up, but for the number of people crossing into the city every day it should NOT be $16. The other problem there is New Yorkers don't pay to come into New Jersey. The tolls only run West to East. This means these agencies could split the toll between inbound and outbound motorists, but years ago some palms got greased so New Yorkers have never paid.

Tolls are illegal why are we being charged to travel that’s a God giving right, and the MTA is run by a private business and paying tolls are not a crime.

It's funny how this news anchor can sit closer to the new news anchor when Laura Stokes was on he would sit so far from her I guess the color wasn't right just wondering I'm glad she left and moved on to a much better life of retirement.
