I was given a shoe box of post cards that were my grandma's. How do you find a value for them? I'd love to try this! I've some that are books, long landscape ones and I'm lost! Lol

Welcome! I think the best option for getting values on postcards that you want to sell on eBay is using eBay/Terapeak. You can do a search for any terms that are written on the card itself. You can also simply do a browser search on that same term and see if there are comps out there on some other sites like perhaps Hip-Postcard. I am just starting with postcards myself and I am absolutely hooked! :-)

Postcards are great! Do you scan them into your listings and how are you shipping them?

I agree completely, Karen! Yes, I have a duplex scanner and upload scans into my listings. I'm using free shipping via eBay's standard envelope for cards that sell for less than $20 and I'll ship them 1st class if the sell over that $20 mark. If I come across a card sale that's over $50 or so (like the last one in this video), I'll probably ship priority.

How do you determine if you’re going to sell individual or lot them up with a few others? Do you just search a whole bunch of let’s say Florida postcards through eBay to determine which ones are worth money and which ones are worth just lighting up together?

Well, I'm just getting into post cards now so I wind up checking out each card one by one both on eBay and on a couple other sites just to see if there are any comps. I'm not at the stage where I have the volume to begin lotting up cheaper cards, but I'm sure that day will come.

Hi Robert. Yes, I buy lots of postcards for a small amount of money and then list them individually on eBay for profit.

Individually or in Lots of several or Lots of hundreds, etc. Some are only worth a couple bucks but others are worth hundreds, depending on its historic value as well as many other qualifiers. People buy certain postcards for all sorts of different reasons! Postcards are nice because they are small and flat and the shipping is extremely easy! I sell postcards individually, but I used to sell other tangible items. Lately, I am gearing up to sell my death pile. Although I stopped selling merchandise, I did not stop accumulating it! 😆
