You did an awesome job!! It looks great! For the blue blinds, take them down and clean them with a broom and soapy water, rinse, let them dry then SPRAY PAINT THOSE PUPPIES!!! We've done it and they came out beautifully.

There are Moms ( and Dads) who have children and watch them grow…and then there are Moms who raise their children, teach their children, pass along their love,wisdom and lessons. You, my dear, are a Mom a lot of us wish to be known for- and that is you give your children your whole heart and watch them grow in that love along with giving a helping hand with anything they need. You did help Ray see the potential of this new home- and using your DIY skills, knowledge and sense of challenge- made this house his home. How wonderful to see the rooms you set up for everyone to sleep- just to make it easier and more comforting for him to rest and heal in his own place. Hi Kelly, You did a nice job on Ray's house. If some time down the road he decides he wants those blue blinds gone you could do sheers underneath. That would let him open the curtains, but still give some privacy. And sheers are less expensive. I did that to quit a few of my windows as they are big and would have cost a lot for blinds. Plus, curtains/drapes can give a more elegant look.

Kelly, Ray is very fortunate to have a mother that is so giving and loving. Most of all so very talented with DIYing! Still praying for you all. I have a dear friend who is going through 8 weeks of chemo for gastric cancer, stage 2, before she can have surgery. Just going for everything she has to do is almost a full-time job! Ray's house turned out great. I'm sure it makes him feel much better.
