It's not reverse threaded, but it's meant to be tightened from the inside which makes it seem like so on the outside.

I see that JRA sticker 😁! Great shop. Thanks for the video

Yup, unfortunately the owner didn't think I was representing them well enough. No longer affiliated with that shop in any way.

@@DirtWireTV ah bummer. I’ve always had great experiences with Brian and the rest of the people there, but they certainly get super busy. Maybe I’ll finally try using my flip chip after 5 years, I forgot I had one. Thanks for the video! Otherwise I’ll buy a new Transition and replace the Devinci Spartan. Now that I’m in Seattle harder to find a Devinci dealer.

Hey thanks I never knew what that did. I have a 2016 the black and white 27 five. I was trying to figure out why my rocker looks completely bent. I sent the photo to a bike shop and they send it that could be normal but it definitely doesn’t look normal wondering if yours looks bent like that all the way to the left side? Thanks

I wonder if it wouldn't be easier to loosen both sides before flipping it then tightening both sides? I'm tempted to build up an alloy frame of this bike.

How does flipping the chip affect the ride. I have a 2016 Devinci Troy Carbon and I think I just flipped the chip when I was lubing the linkage (I didn't pay attention to which way it was). I've kinda wanted to change it but doubt I'll notice a difference. The way I put it back together, the hole for the hex wrench is on the side closest to the seat post.

Thanks for watching (even though it's one of my worst videos ever).

If you're ever super bored and want to do an update, mentioning the orientation of the spacer that goes between the control link and the swingarm (curved side inwards towards the bearing, wide flat side out against the swing arm) would be good too. Or, I guess someone could just read this comment :p I find that link is a magnet for grit so I'll give it a good wipe down and grease when necessary/adjusting it.

Ah, I'd love to but I've moved on to a Rocky Altitude. Still trying to wrap my head around the much more complex Ride-9 system.

You don't even mention what it does 🤣

Yeah it's very subtle. No idea what your trying to achieve. But I guess it doesn't matter because I don't own this bike.
