3:40 saw the train's engine at a flea market lately, but it looked too dinky, and the waggons were missing. :P 3:55 being a Fordoholic it's a given I have more than one Escort and Capri, most are ready for a resto. :) the Opel Commodore would be nice, too, for a restomod. paint it yellow with black stripes on the flanks and on the hood, and call it the famous "Sprint" version with racing goodies. :) 4:45 ooh, the Mangusta. there are almost more models of the Mangusta out there than from the Pantera... no idea why. both look spectacular. the VW Porsche 914 caused some beef between VW and Porsche because even with the VW 4cylinder boxer it ran almost as good as the 911, and what was meant to be a beginner's vehicle sotosay, became a competitor. 5:35 the bus on the lower page was one of the few "model kits" Dinky offered, basically unpainted and unassembled castings with all parts included, and paint and stickers inside. I got one of the buses for cheap, gotta look up a colourful original (and learn how to do decals). :) 6:10 such Transit, very parts that can get lost. XD but sometimes one finds a mint and boxed item for an affordable price. sometimes. :P 7:30 the bare metal fresh from the mould always looks best, because it IS metal. :) too bad that innocent shine is hard to bring back again. 8:05 I was able to snatch both road sweeper and dump truck in a very good condition, minor scratches and all things there and working. I do need the snow plough... aaah, the hunt never ends! :D funny thing, the road sweeper works with one of these steel spring bands one knows from small machines like film projectors. and the red always fades, even when boxed. :P ejecting pilot? they didn't have a good opinion on the RAF planes... XD 11:55 imagine such toys nowadays... they wouldn't trust no kid with caps to begin with, much less bombs. XD 13:20 I am not sure if Meccano had a market for their metal kits in germany. it's the first I catch of those here... here we had Märklin and later, TRIX, which was combatible to Märklin in all regards. (and later Märkling bought TRIX. go figure) 14:20 somethign to hunt as well. so far I caught a mostly complete one in blue. nobody makes spare parts yet... so you have to take what you get. but boy are they elaborate! :0 I don't remember watchign any of the series they had in the catalogue at the beginning. maybe they were aired later when I was busy working? dunno. btw, "Abarth" is pronounced with a soft t at the end. :)
