I really enjoyed this video, although it took me forever to get through it! That was because I’m relatively new to the hobby and I kept pausing the video to look at your ink swatches and note them down on my list of “get a sample of this” (which just keeps growing and growing and growing!!!) Thanks so much, this gave me a lot of ideas for how to organize an ink journal…I’m starting to think maybe using either a small/not many pages notebook for “pens I own” and “currently inked” and another A5 or B6 to do swatches and a writing sample…that maybe I would use a squishy ring binder I have so I can move things around based on the color, or however it works for me to organize it. I love the plastic spoon idea, too! It makes a great looking swatch, and we still have the massive box of Costco plastic clear silverware we bought about 10 years ago for a party…and it just keeps going! (Those are such good plastic, we just run the ones we use through the dishwasher, and they just keep on keeping on, so we don’t dive into the box unless we’re having a BBQ with guests.) I also like the idea of using stuff I already have instead of buying special dip pens or muddlers when I’d rather spend that on something else…like a pen, or more ink samples!

Ahhh! The never ending ink wishlist 🥲- I know how it goes trust me 😅. So glad you were able to get some ideas here and yes! The plastic spoon swatching has absolutely been a favorite this year. It all started from having way too many left over from my wedding.. otherwise I would have never thought to try it lol. Also will co-sign a binder for color organization; I’ve found it’s the most flexible thing I’ve done so far with organization. 💕thank you!!

@ Yes, I think I’m going in the binder direction, definitely (just need to get a hole punch for it! I only have the standard 3 hole for US paper.) I adore your wedding bouquet pens, what a lovely way to memorialize your beautiful bouquet. My wedding day was the best day of my life…21 ½ years ago and going strong. My dear friend took my bouquet and had it specially put into a glass front shadow box made with my wedding colors (silver and light sage green/celedon) and it is still looking gorgeous and hangs in our bedroom. My tiara that I wore with my veil (I loved that so much, I could wear that veil and tiara every day!) is mounted on top of the box and it’s a great treasure. I can just imagine how special those pens are to you, and I wish you many happy years together!

Love this, such an inspiration 😍 Anytime I have a song I'm really vibing with I grab one of the pens I have inked and write all the lyrics in mine as a writing sample so I have a bit of a tracker of some favorite music in my ink journal too 🥰

This was a wild ride. I know it drove you crazy but i loved seeing rhe random "sold" pages .i already set up my ink journal but i kinda wish i set it up in a chronological way like you did. I also liked the stickers and notes and i k swaps. Cant wait to see what 2025 has in store for you

Love this ink 🎉. I wanted to ask you for guidence. I am coming back to fountain pens after many many year. I need a pen that is easy to write with it long stories. I need a pen with a good flow and reliable. Unfortunately I can't spend more than $200 dollars and that with a big effort. I am not going to use shimmer inks. Love the look of the Benu and Leonardo, but I don't know if they are good for my purpose. Thank you for you videos!
