Went to a doctor's estate sale Friday. Was able to pull some very expensive items. Randomly his office was filled with a flashlight collection one of them was worth $300 another $150, I took ALOT of them lol paid around $4 each. Absolutely my best estate sale yet. Followed that stop up with a local thrift stop where I got a full set of Canon printer ink worth around $350 and some hp ink absolutely insane day to start the year! Love your content, take care!

Pendleton Woolen Mills is rare, even in Cowboy country. I've gotten quite a bit of good Pendleton clothing, jackets, turtlenecks, scarfs... which I am keeping for myself. I always keep an eye out for those blankets though. Truly beautiful and I'd probably simply keep it and not even flip it.

Here's a thing I found that reminds me of the kind of stuff you pick up Wick: a vintage Black and Decker "Handy Shortcut" Micro-Processor HMP30 - basically a little food processor, almost identical to a mini Cuisinart. I picked one up for $5 at GW complete in box. But for whatever reason, they sell pre-owned & complete for $35-40 on goodwill with some frequency. But even better than that, they part out real nice too - little plastic gear bit goes for $17.99, the blade parts go for $8-15, bowl/lid $8-10, etc.

I'm not trying to be argumentative or anything like that, but I was a sponsored amateur skater in the mid '90s, and I did wear slightly baggy pants for the comfort in the leg and hip dept. I never did like the bell bottom look of the JNCO jeans and they would be impossible to skate in. I did see a lot of JNCO kids carrying skateboards as an accessory, but I wasn't the type to call others poseurs or anything like that. This is a long-winded post just to say that JNCO bell bottoms were too much for skating well; You have to see your feet and the board. Best of luck to you and good luck thrift hunting!

Another awesome video. Those Saturn lamps are amazing!, I think I would also keep it if I found one. I have a couple of the Hudson Bay and Pendleton blankets, they were selling for really high prices in the 90s and dropped so I held on to mine. So glad to see they have finally gone up in value again. I store mine with lavender buds in sachet bags. I grow my own. Moths hate lavender. I have never seen a Grateful Dead one! I'm still in shock over the 12K price (marked down from 16?? 😳), I'm a Deadhead but mind blown 🤯I have a round wicker table with glass top in my living room and one of those dividers! I would never sell. Unless they get 12K then I would need to hire a guard to come with me to meet the buyer, ca$h only please! 🤣 Have you checked laser disk players? I could not believe what some are selling for. I need to check mine and see if I can make some decent money with it.

Stupid question from somebody who doesn't make videos, why do you (and most resellers making videos I watch) seem to have no clue how much you pay for stuff? I mean there is nothing preventing you from just talking to yourself when you are recording and saying "self note, price is $5 for such and such item that I got at thrift store" then when you look back at it during editing you can know exactly what price you paid and what store you bought it at. I'd love to see videos where you say "I KNOW the price I paid" rather than "I can't remember". Nobody has a perfect memory.
@KevinDurantisnot7 ай бұрын
Well for this case it’s probably because he has backlogs of footage and most times his videos are from a month or longer ago and when you go to multiple thrift stores/sales every day it’s hard to remember details from that long ago. And it’s his style he prefers to only do voiceovers
@FlippingJunk7 ай бұрын
For me it's because I deal with thousands of items a year and everything starts to blend together. Way too much time to go back and look at records for something I sold a year or two ago. I feel I remember a lot, and if I'm off it's only by a small amount. If I can't 100% remember I say so because people will get mad if I say I paid $1 but actually paid $2. Even if I sold the item for $100. They call me a scammer or a liar. Internet is a weird environment lol
@Wyo-picker3077 ай бұрын
Do you do a tracking system like use excel to track what you pay for tax purposes?@FlippingJunk
@DeanCorso3217 ай бұрын
Ask a manager or business owner to teach you how they do business and they'll be evasive or laugh at you. You should be thankful that these guys are telling their secrets on camera, personally I think they hurt other resellers because buyers won't want to pay up for rare items but will spend hundreds on an iPhone that cost $10 to make. How much we pay for items is our business not the consumers.
@jochildress50037 ай бұрын
I understand how it may look to you. But as an experienced reseller, I often buy whole lots at estate sales. Because my accounting business model** doesn’t require it, I don’t keep track of the cost of individual items. Usually I’ll sell one or two items from the lot and know that I’ve recouped my outlay and don’t care whether I accept offers on the rest of the items once I’m into pure profit. Some items take years to sell, and by the time they do I have no idea what I paid. **(I’ve tracked my cost of goods for entire lots and report my earnings less expenses. That’s all I need.)
