Ancient mace can be used in your POH for guaranteed max hit, so it's like 40 prayer points at the beggining of any trip (think gwd or dks), you can also use it in nmz with spec restore power-up with a prayer setup and finally you could rush people in multi with it to ensure smites. I remember a couple videos smiting ags's back when they were 70m

Kind of a niche use one, but the prayer book from the Great Brain Robbery quest is useful for low level irons. Collecting unicorn horns or picking up 1 dose antipoisons is a pain, and curing poison during skilling activities (pyramid plunder, for example) with the Prayer Book and a Holy Symbol is definitely underrated, imo

For those who have never used this book before, you can either right click the book and choose recite prayer, or, more simply, just click your HP orb while poisoned and it'll cure it automatically and it only uses 1 prayer point.

As soon as I got 70 prayer I got my bonecrusher necklace, which is a dragonbone necklace combined with a bonecrusher. When it’s not worn you don’t get the prayer point restoration, but when it is worn it auto-buries and prayer restores without taking up an inventory slot!

Dragon mace is honestly comparable to the dragon scimitar in my experience, especially if your using prayer. That +5 prayer bonus is legit. Also it’s special attack is pretty darn good too (25% to deal a higher damage and more accurate hit)

Ancient mace is a great option for kurasks/turoth slayer as well, as the effect works even if you hit a 0 (and none of the leaf bladed weapons have special attacks)

As well as SGS and Eldritch Nightmare Staff. Both of which are arguably more useful. Ancient Mace's main usefulness aside from Iron Men is multi way wilderness. D Spear Spec a guy, pile with Ancient Maces and Smite. Guaranteed a skulled player loses everything every single time.

Pro-Tip: ancient mace spec works on POH dummy stacked with slayer helm/salve ammy | dragon bone necklace fuses with bone crusher and synergizes with catacombs bonus. Slayer staff(e) stacks with magic level and slayer helm you can hit like a 42 in 2nd bis gear

Problem with Slayer Staff(e) compared to Iban's is it takes a much higher level magic to use. Still only good for 2,500 casts and it's a tiny bit more expensive. But with 99 Magic, an Imbued Heart, Slayer Helm(i), Occult Necklace, and Ancestral Gear + Imbued God Cape + Tormented Bracelet it caps at 42. Without having all those things, it's kinda ehh... Iban Blast with the same Gear can hit 34's, the God Spells with eithe Staff of Light/Dead/Balance using Charge with 80 Magic and same gear hit's 46. Fire Surge with Tome of Fire and same gear is 55. Not saying the Magic Dart is useless, just it needs so much to be that good that it almost never comes close to being "that good". Trident of the Swamp with the same gear is 47's and a much higher DPS. In fact, the Trident of the Swamp ultimately is just so much better than Slayer Staff(e), it's just costly. Full Ahrim with Amulet of the Damned and Ice Barrage can hit 42's. Use Tome of Water to ignore water runes. I think it just comes down to, it's not that useful is all.

Partially... Obsidian Sword(Toktz-Xil-Ak) with Berserker Necklace is superior. And honestly, with max gear and so forth... it's actually like the 4th BiS for DPS. Only outclassed by the Rapier, Blade of Saeldor, and Inquisitor's Mace for a 1h weapon. That said, Dragon Sword is an incredibly effective weapon and truly is underrated.

Bloodbark boots are very cheap for the bonuses they give compared to other mage boots, good for a main since they're dirt cheap compared to the other boots. They also give a nice 1.5% bonus to healing with blood spells which is cool on some tasks.

The downside to Yak Armor is most pures or low combat levels don't have 20 def. Which is primarily where the main uses for the chaps come in at. The Ectoplasmator was one of the first rewards I got from Soul Wars, it's been useful for numerous tasks on Slayer like Abberant Spectres, Shades, and Ankous. One thing to note about the Spiky Vambraces, they are good if you're going for a cheap ranged option, but from a defensive standpoint Klank's Gauntlets or any of the Gauntlets from Family Crest offer superior defensive stats, minor melee improvements, and no negatives to range/mage making them arguably better for a lot of things. The Dragonbone Necklace is great as well for situations where you are essentially Praying all the time. And it definitely is under utilized, but certainly not by me. While Ancient Mace is useful for saving Prayer, both the Saradomin Godsword and Eldritch Nightmare Staff are better for it. The Ancient Mace's main usefulness though is going to your POH, using it on an Undead Dummy with Salve Amulet(e) and getting a max hit to restore prayer over maximum before going on a task or etc. Clans a long time ago used to pile on people in Multi with Ancient Mace after a D Spear spec to not only spec you out but drain your prayer completely. You often don't see it in use due to the statistical requirements for the quests in order to unlock it and considering how weak a weapon it is. The Dragon Sword is certainly an excellent weapon. It's got a useful special attack, good stats, and very effective. Particularly with Slayer tasks that stab weapons are more effective if you don't have or wish to use a Dragon Spear/Hasta or a higher level alternative. While Magic Dart is good and with the Upgraded Slayer staff, it is better. Iban Blast potentially is still cheaper in the long run IF you have a Tome of Fire as it uses no fire runes, just one death. Now, that being said the Slayer Staff(e) requires much higher level magic to equate to being better and with magic damage boosting items Iban Blast is still applicable.

The Soul Bearer has been pretty useless in my experience. For one thing, if you're doing a slayer task where you can get ensouled heads, just bring the runes to cast the reanimation spells with you, and use the heads immediately. Sending them to your bank for later is a waste unless you want to sell them instead. And even if you do want to sell them, the head drops are rare enough that you usually don't get more than one per trip anyway. The inventory slot you use for the soul bearer could have just been used to hold an ensouled head instead. It's a gamble whether it offers any benefit at all. Then on top of that, every ensouled head it banks for you costs runes, and not cheap runes either. All in all, it's rare I ever find myself in a situation where the ensouled head is beneficial.
