I think you should glue a bead at the end of each string. A bead that can't slip through the hole punched. It would look cute dangling on the edge of the book! Too cute! Lived the video just as much as the thumb nail!

Treasure Books - ❤️ Or since it’s a sewing album they sell those little mini spools in the wood department at the Craft store! I think even on Amazon just look up Wooden sewing spools! you just wrap a little bit of colored string around it - it has a hole through the center so you can add it to your string and put a small bead at the end to keep it from falling off then make a knot!❤️

when you were trying to figure out how the circle on the triangle flap could be useful, I immediately thought of securing it with an eyelet in the middle and wrapping some floss of several colors around it.

Clever. Perhaps instead of the string closure, use two 1 inch cut out circles (with brads and tiny spacers) where you just wrap the string around a couple of times. Wendy's Journal channel uses that type of closure at times.
