Oohhhh the way you described wanting to just disappear sometimes... YES. You are so not alone in that. I can very much relate, and have never heard anyone say it outloud so clearly. It definitely comes in waves, and it's so hard to feel, whether or not I have a "reason" to point to of why I'm feeling that way. So thanks for saying the tough stuff outloud 💜

Love u Shannon. Take your time, don’t rush yourself into doing more than you can take on right now. Your mental health is more important than a podcast. Give yourself grace, keep the main focus on healing and getting yourself to a happy and comfortable place. It’s your turn to be truly happy and love yourself and give yourself the love and compassion that you have given to so many other people. Keeping you in my prayers and remember we’re all human, no one is perfect and we all make mistakes. That’s how we learn and grow ❤

The 100% best part of a non-hetero wedding is getting to pick and choose which traditions you want or don't want. We don't have to be hampered by the weight of what we are "supposed to do". I am already breaking the first traditional rule by marrying a woman lol

Hi Shannon, I just listened to the beginning when you talk about you and what happens lately. Cheer up, I’m in that process too after a break up and other things. What I learned from previous experience and being an avoidant as well is that we need to go through it. It is the only way out. We have no choice except doing that and it’s a work in progress so Patience and awareness is very important. It might be too cheesy but be kind to yourself as if it was your friend. If we avoid it, it will comeback to you and be harder to handle. (I had to learn it the hard way) Anyway, I came across your content really recently on the Made it out podcast. And apparently you are the queer queen 🤣 I really love your vibe and I’m very happy you have a podcast now. You became a part of my own journey so thank you. I’m grateful I found you, it was the right moment for me. 🙏💛

As a master procrastinator, I remember my cousin and I were trying to make original cocktails for my upcoming wedding and she goes "have you picked out your dress already?" In typical last-minute fashion, I had not, so, about five or six palomas deep we hopped online and I literally picked the first bridal gown I saw. So, pro tip, don't get blasted and put your dress shopping off until the last minute, or else you'll end up with a white prom dress from David's bridal. Still rocked it though. 🤪 Anyway, as always, another phenomenal episode, Shannon!

Hi Shannon, I feel like this could help people in general and I've experienced it myself. But something that helps me to see out of my mind is taking iron with b vitamins. It's really good for the mind. Sometimes I didn't know why I was down, like I had no reason to be. But when I started taking iron with the b vitamins, vitamin d (NOW brand) I started to level out alot. I think of it like this - your body doesn't function great when dehydrated and just like the body the brain doesn't function great without the necessary vitamins etc. Hope this can help.

Hi, Shannon. I wanted to know if it would be possible for the future to show pictures of people when talking about them. For example, when saying how beautiful her wedding dress was that you insert a pic of it? Or when talking about other people and they give consent to shortly have a pic of them on screen? That would be sort of helpful 😊👍

It’s socially impossible to please everyone without it being at the expense of yourself. If you ask your 90 year old self if that moment will matter when you’re on your death bed the answer is probably no. Don’t ever change your authentic self, just redirect some things. Mistakes are part of what makes life, life. It always works out at the end.
