@EBikeBuilder_6 ай бұрын
it would probably be super easy to set up like a dream with a hub motor. But yeah!! I am going to run it through the gauntlet with the BBSHD. If you heard any Pro Strats about tuning it Lmk, I am just going at it blind, I toned it down by adjusting the ADC throttle curve So its exponential and it doesnt jerk hard at the start, Then when you start to get into the throttle it Rips Lol. But theres probably some way to program the motor to spin slower at startup, regardless of the throttle settings, idk? Im curious about your vesc settings if you have them on any BBSHDs, seems like my sensorless stuff could use some work , I mean i think im running like the default large inrunner settings?? and i was riding it around today, even the first try with some generic tune it works OK i was really impressed. If i mess around with the throttle input deadband and set it really low like 1% it acts like virtual electronic freewheeling. But yeah lots of Dinking around to be done Lol

Sounds great from an experimental point but until proven over time may not be a good choice. The 75100 is known to over heat plus not waterproof and exposed wiring. I am hooking one to the Fat All Axel when I get it. I need more amperage than the Phaserunner for my AWD motorcycle. Does 75100 have virtual freewheeling and other features the Phaserunner has? Setting up virtual freewheeling takes the kick out of the Bafang at startup.
@EBikeBuilder_6 ай бұрын
i was able to get vesc it to virtual freewheel by setting the deadband to like 1 or 2%. Might have something to do with how ive set my throttle voltages as well, idk. For the purposes of my g62 or bbshd, the 75100 seems to be OK heat wise. its been about 70F out side and the controller mounted to down tube was like 34C etc, i put it inside the frame of my folding bike (no airflow) and it warms up to like the 45C to 50C range, But i never saw it get much warmer than that. Im sure there are better vesc controllers than the 75100, But for the price its been fun to fiddle around with

@EBikeBuilder_Ай бұрын
Its basically the 3 phase wires to the motor is all you need, and it can run in sensorless, if your motor has hall sensors then you want those there will be 3 as well. But i would not use the L1019 connector like i have, it has amp limitations , i think it does aboyt 45 amps continuously . Id just hook the phase wires from the motor directly to the flipsky phase wires . These motor cable connectors can be nice but have limitations. I think there are some connectors made for phasewires i forget what they are called though. I think there are 3-pin XT90 connectors and stuff that could be used as connectors for the phase wires
