I'm only just seeing it now for the first time after flying for 2 months. Thinking wow I'd just power loop the trees and rubix the gap haha. How far quads have cone is absolutely unreal

Me also, I watched this over and over again back in the day, kids these days have it easy with the tech on hand. this video may seem basic but his flying was master level for the tech we had then, miss those days and flying.

That was awesome, I was having som difficulty figuring out where to mount my longer 1800-2200mah batteries, but it's because I have my naze32 mounted too far back. I think it's time for a rebuild...

I still come back and watch this vid I think its one of my favorite ones, this video inspired me to get into the sport, now I have 4 Quads, make vids every week and it's my top hobby for sure, in fact all I seem to think about is quad flying these days. I love the way Charpu flies around here, just like literally a walk in the park. Thx guys, great vid. I'd love to see what he can do with one of the new Brushless Whoops like the Mobula7, it's a little dream machine, the best way to learn, even for myself after 10 months into the sport, I learn so much from Whoop flying now. Anyone wanting to get into quad flying FPV style should start with a brushless whoop I think, better than any sim.

@Nadiv Lukman I’m new, but I’ve noticed a few things .. 6s w low kv motors is becoming the norm. Fpv Tricks have evolved. The standards are raised. Whoops, toothpicks, and cinewhoops are becoming popular. Dji fpv has improved significantly and it’s adding more much needed innovation and competition to the fpv goggle market. Also, betaflight keeps improving. Those features make flying much more smooth and whatnot.

I’m still very new to quad flying but what my mentor taught me when learning to fly in open spaces is when you feel like you’re losing control learn to hesitate to decrease throttle or apply throttle generously. Of course in tight spaces this might not be so true but it helps to regain control without any obstacles in the way

I just want to start off by saying I love everything that you guys do. It's inspiring, it's innovative, and it's all completely amazing. I even get my wife to sit down and watch your videos and she could care less about this kind of stuff. I do have a request though. When I was younger I used to play a video game for PS2 called "Twisted Metal: Small Brawl" which was remote control cars going around shooting bottle rockets and roman candles and other fireworks in a last man standing kind of scenario. It was a ton of fun. What I would love to see is that kind of action but for the air. Just seeing it would be amazing and I think it would create a whole new level of combat flying lol.

Hi Flite Test cant overstate the joy you bringing me watching your videos. THANK YOU! I feel our hobby can reach gigantic popularity, unless its outlawed by FAA, but that's another topic. I think its not a new Idea, but still worth mentioning, developing the hobby as a professional competitive racing sport is what will bring it to the masses. Very much what companies like Blizzard, Valve and Riot did with the e-sports, online gaming is becoming huge thing with viewership measured in millions, sponsorship and price funds surpassing 10 million dollars for the winner. Only 5 years ago people were competing at Dota 2 (Its a video game) for a case of beer, last year world championship called #TheInternational, payed 1 million dollars per person of the winning team, all achieved by sustainable growth with the help of the community and the sponsors. This is only one example there are many more. I feel FliteTest has the opportunity to start similar competitive tradition in our hobby. May be the next #FliteTestFest can be used as opportunity the gather up all these amazing pilots like CHARPU FPV , Boris B. (how do you link that guy) and metalldanny and race them for decent price fund provided by the sponsors and the community (Tickets for the event). Please Live stream it the advertisement revenue is very descent. Platforms like KZbin Live, Dalymotion maybe Twitch.tv (an Amazon Company btw.) would be glad to have you, and we the poor Europeans can enjoy the show as if we were there. I really hope some1 reads this. Regards Nick

Thanks for the useful tips. At ~8:20 you replace the rotor using a Y-type socket hand wrench (thank you again, purchased a similar one), but then it skips over the part where you tighten the nut. I am currently using needle nosed pliers but it leaves marks on the motor. When I hold it by hand, I don't have confidence that it is tight enough. How do you hold the motor in position while tightening the prop nut?
