What a nice sensation of watching Josh again as in the old times when the show was focused on guide and teach how to make a plane... That was the soul of flitetest... More chapters like this please!!!

Is it possible to scale up these and use them with bigger motors and actual control surfaces?

Is the CG marked on the wings, like most models? It wasn't clear to me exactly where fingertips were balancing. Thanks in advane!

When putting the cricut board receiver on the plane make sure the switch is always pointing down. If it is pointing up it upsets the self correcting system. I hope this is helpfull as I found this out the hard way. Robert Ingham North Queensland Australia.

0:08 why does it say "This effect requires GPU acceleration" behind the flitetest logo?

Neat product, inexpensive controller and hardware for easy to build and fly models with a high level of success for the beginner pilots. One Question... Shouldn't the Right motor have the Red Lead ? (like audio products use red for right and white for left ?)

The new "Power Paks" motors are not labeled R or L, but are RED or Blue. So Red motor is L or R?

Josh had an almost Bob Ross-like calm about him in this vid. ^^

are there plans for these

The planes are not yet in the store I think, the current production run is probably being sold at flite fest. Once they are on the store plans will hopefully be availabe, too.

would it be possible to run the props through slots in the wings so you dont need a motor mount?
@keithhudspith52453 жыл бұрын
I think on the trailing edge of the wing might do the trick.

If I have a drone, could I use the motors from there?
@biko98243 жыл бұрын
Maybe you will need a little more power, if you have a mini drone. But with big enough motors, it will work.

So if the motors are soldered on should I just un solder 2 of them and then use the other ones
@Pile_of_carbon3 жыл бұрын
Note that the motors in the vid are brushed. Drones tend to have brushless motors, meaning they need a different kinds of electronics. If your drone has brushed motors (as is common with really cheap toy-grade ones) you could probably use them. If they are too powerful though it might blow up the flight controller or the battery might not be enough to spin them at all.

Flite Test The Best...
@Wikkid2daCOR3 жыл бұрын
Probably my least favourite of the three, still better looking than the donor plane. A question, though: Will these fly on two motors of the three channel electronics kit? I'd like to keep the possibility for elevator control in future models...

I also am looking for the blueprints so we can build these in class. I can't seem to find them anywhere.

There are no plans to release free plans for these, at this time. There are free plans for many other community designed EZ styled planes on the Flite Test Forum. 👍

Wouldn’t recommend this if you’re a beginner in RC Planes. I now have a mess of whatever this thing is made out of all across my dining room table. It doesn’t even come with instructions and there’s so many pieces some of are mixed with the other model pieces. 0/10. Do not buy. The one I have is completely different and doesn’t even have this cardboard back to it. It just seems like the crappy material is all that you get. This tutorial is incredibly vorhingt and you have to have all these items that you usually find in your hardware store. FliteTest needs to do better at beginner level RC aircraft models. I have so far built NONE of them because of how complex this is.
