Since float switch indirectly connects 230v may be thro N however it is unsafe like water tank installation .pl workout lesser 6vDC volt for float connection. It is only suggestion.

So with the contactor you avoid pulling full current of pump thru the float switch in the tank, but you still have the issue of 220V going into the tank thru the float cable. Does it really make that much of a difference in safety to have a contactor in that case? I guess if your float switch isn't rated for the pump current?...

Hi. I used to do like this but later I discovered it's a bad practice installation. Contactor of 24V coil should be preferred, and that coil closes the 110V or 220V supply. You only need to add a 24 DIN rail supply or using a 60W, 220V-24V transformer. There is also the option of getting a 12V relay do accomplish it, but it looks less professional and somehow it is more risky.

Very good comprehensive video. I need your guidance. I installed same water flow switch in my undergroud water tank, which is filled with society water. The switch is installes with motor pump to lift water from underground tank to overhead tank. The purpose was that the motor would not empty run if no water in underground water tank. Facing some level problems. Can you guide how to adjust this level in case water is less in underground tank the motor would be off.

This simple circuit is controlling the load indirectly by the float switch: the float switch is energizing the contactor relay coil, which commutes its contacts and energizes de load. Simply, the electric contacts of the float switch are not designed to control the load.
