Blacktown City Council proudly supports ‘Float to survive’
1 in 4 drownings in Australia involve people born overseas. Many of these people come from the culturally and linguistically diverse communities of western Sydney and will visit many aquatic environments. Blacktown City Council has joined the ‘Float to Survive’ initiative to promote this very important water safety message to its community.
Floating is a lifesaving exercise that enables you to conserve energy and signal for help should you find yourself in distress in any aquatic environment.
